As a Swede I say Norway are the most beautiful country in the Nordics. Maybe in the world... Stockholm is much more beautiful than Oslo, but Oslo has that vibe I cannot explain, everything in walking distance. Two bad things about Norway: Prices!!! And that they have us as neighbours. Must go more to Denmark. But Finland.... there is where my heart is just now.
187:54, Trust, honesty and the fact that the fine is so much higher than the price of a ticket that you do not need to be caught often for it to be a deterrent.

@kilipaki87oritahiti I know it is. I'm just jealouse they have big bags in a taxfree shop. We have normal bags in our shops, but Smash is so good that we need those big bags.
I actually was in Oslo this last weekend for two photo shoots. Not as a model, but behind the camera. I used to be a full time photogragher. But because of illnes I now do it when I can. :) And I know the Anker Hotel very well. :) This last weekend I spent on Tøyen, because it was close to the studio. But that was a VERY nice place for a very good price.
Nice to see that you had a good time on your first day in Oslo, and that you were lucky with the weather. Happy birthday to your lovely wife, two months late. Nordic summer is wonderful when the weather is good. Warm enough, but not too warm - even if the sun is scorching. It is fascinating to see Oslo through the eyes of foreigners. Maybe the city is nicer than we think? At least on a beautiful summer day.
She doesn't speak English and luckily the captain is not easy to understand lol, I was worried she would catch on but I kept going to see until where I could take it. After I got off the plane I realised she still didn't know 😂
Happy late birthday to your wife! 🎉🎉🎉 She's so beautiful! 🤩 I love the music on these videos! 🤩 But you didn't find any cake?? You should have found a 7/11 or Dolly Dimples and got her some cupcakes or some kind of bakery stuff, at least! Didn't anybody you asked tell you that?? Maybe I'm just too much of a cookiemonster that I know where to find that stuff 😂 I'm really glad you were lucky with the weather. Btw. I saw you were talking about going to norway in another video, and asked about how norway is in December. Are you thinking about going to Bergen in December?? 😬 0/10! Would not recommend it! 😬🙈 Or it depends on what you are looking for. Bergen does have pretty christmas lighting, and they have a big ginderbread city that is cool to see. But if you want to experience norwegian winter I just wouldn't recommend any city that is along the coast. The ocean just make those cities like you are walking in dirty slush 😬🙈😬 It's the worst time of year for Bergen 🙈 BUT if you wish to experience what the not so amazing parts of norway is, then that's perfect! 😂 Oh, and this video made me learn something!! It's a myth in norway that the guards in front of the castle do NOT speak to anyone or even acknowledge civilians. So I had to go and ask my boyfriend, who has been a royal guard, if it's not true that they guards are not allowed to look at or speak to anyone. And then he just laughed at me and said, "No, that's not true. That's just a joke the guards do!" 😂 Well, thanks! I belived that joke! 😂
Wow! He was a royal guard? 🫣 only got to read this comment now. Thanks for the info! I still don't know where to go in December, it's my birthday on the 1st and my wedding anniversary on the 26th, not to mention xmas and new year's 😅 Also, it never crossed my mind to ask anyone where I could buy a cake 😅 I'm so used to not speaking to others in public that I forgot that was an option
@NordicReactions I was in London late november a couple years ago, and Bergen in desember us just like London. Just a bit colder and covered in "slush" 🤣🙈 Okey, here's what you do for december; Rent a cabin up in the mountains! Bring a lot of food, in case you get snowed in 🙈🤣 But then you'll get the real norwegian winter experience 🤣🤣
@@NordicReactions I was a royal guard many years ago as well. I was in the 4th company. I stood guard at royal castle many times, and most of the time at the front. Your video made me remember how often I stood there at night looking at the big Freia sign with it's clock all the time to see how long it was left of my turn and I got a rest. As far as I remember, was the clock not visible enough in daytime, but it was when it got dark enough. I must be in the photo albums of MANY thousands of tourists and specially Japanese tourists. They came in busloads to look at the castle and take MANY pictures. They also came and asked if they could take pictures with them together with me/us a lot, and of course they got permission. So they stood besides us alone or in groups and taking turns at taking pictures for each other. Many was shocked, both Norwegians and others that we talked with them. We were not allowed to start a conversation unless someone did something wrong, but we could talk with people when they started it. And the guns are not just there for show. They are real and we had live ammo to use if needed. The guards are well trained soldiers that are specially trained to protect the royal family and the government. This resulted in him taken pow and he was sent to a concentration camp in Germany because the traitor Quisling had made a decree that said it was treason to fight against the Germans. There’s a few restaurants in Oslo at least that has traditional Norwegian “husmanns kost”. Never been, but looked it up recently for fun as the “julebord sesong” is soon here, and I was surprised so many did actually offer traditional foods.
The castle is the wrong spot to view the mountains and the fjord, to see this you have to go to Holmenkollen, Skijump, I think, it also has the better view on Oslo
Oh no, you were literally 50 meters max away from the best cake in Oslo it's just across that little square next to the parliament... Oh well. Thanks for loving my city ❤

Walking down from the King's Castle, the rich is on the left and the poor is on the right. There's nothing to fear from the poor, because they're not _that_ poor. The area around Storgata 40 can be a bit dangerous at night, but that's why I like it. It keeps you humble. I used to live in 39, so I know the area pretty well.
As a former resident in Oslo I fled to have peace and to get away from all the drug problems there. It's a sh**hole, sorry to say.
