I know you mentioned it a few times in the video but we really do need to see this little FTX with some better wheels and tires fitted to it. It seems to have a lot of potential but the stock tires look terrible for any kind of serious terrain.
Please revisit this little truck with some upgrades!

As impressive as the SCX6 is its almost too capable. You need more and more gnarly terrain just to challenge it. The FTX just looks more fun.

Ftx are getting better and better at what they're putting out. I would love to see an updated Mauler, and see if the issues with the stock one (steering and servo) would be better.

Hey, Phil - I've been hoping that you might get around to having a look at the Funtek CR12, which is a sort of Team Associated CR12 clone, like a very high quality WPL or MN Models trail truck/crawler. It's around the same siza as this FTX, and I'd be interested to see you test it.

Fairplay the ftx looks great but the scx6 looks on another level it looks so realistic the way it articulates

The ftx looks interesting but would maybe a little too small for me. Couldn't resist to compare it to my Gmade buffalo. I am not too heavy in crawlers and the decision for a Gmade wasn't easy 😅
It is small…. It makes it a little more rewarding when you get a good run

I find it's hard to find decent tires for the Jimny at 100mm/4in. Thinking of it turning it to comp truck. What do you think?
105mm and 108mm fit fine if you lower the shock mount to give it a little lift. I have 108s on mine. Injora Knockoff hyrax tires. It can climb better than I expected once I added the tires and some weights.

FTX doing good, needs a little front wheel weight. a 390 motor geared for it is plenty capable, Doomsday bug and modded 12428 clone do really well clambering with cheap but very chunky 108 mm tires on them.

I love your videos, but how tf is this remotely fair. "Dang the big one made it over the giant obstacle the little one couldn't. Get the big one way better" they're not the same
It was a ‘fun’ challenge rather than a ‘fair’ challenge. And the FTX was probably the truck that stole the show rather than the expensive SCX6 😅
