The insight you get from playing Automata makes replaying, or rewatching this game is absolutely heart wrenching. You finally understand exactly what's happening and what you did.
Dear Lord that scene from 33:12 to 34:20 is...profound. Silence has never said so much. Papa Nier looks completely and utterly broken and Jamieson Price's delivery of that one single word is heartbreaking.
@mrmcgreen505 Nah, while there are misunderstandings about, there's no completely innocent party in all this. Nier's daughter was taken and those emotions were real, so it's a bit of a stretch to say what they were fighting for was false. The twins said it best: Each side had their own motives and desires. This game is one big reality check, huh? =p
those birds really have some manly voice btw i want to ask what is the best weapons for each categories ? The phoenix blade seems to be the best two handed sword (apparently, not sure tough)
So you may know already, but for those curious passing by, second choice makes Popola repeat the "Shhhh... We're asking questions right now." line and prompts you with the question again. Third choice teleports you to the village, with no objection from anyone. I believe if you go and check the library, the twins are still sitting there with their weapons at hand, telling you to be careful. It's obviously a hard progress warning for completing side quests and whatnot but it's still pretty hilarious.
+jakeisdadambest Thats what I love about the n+ mechanic, it provides an interesting metaphor for the deep pain caused by war on both sides of the conflict. Both sides are neither right or wrong, just hurt.

I just realized those ball shade were baby shades ;__;
Chedder Dragon wish it was possible to kick them
Devin Rouse
No don't kick the baby
@@Just-a-random-guy. *kick the baby*
I always knew the king was badass. The extra scene just confirmed it.
R.I.P King of the masked people! one of my favorites on this game.

When the Sacrifice theme begins playing, you know there is gonna be someone dying
And the best Sechs (Facade's king name) scene appears.
(Stop talking and get over here) is one if not the most badass quotes of the game.
25:49 No one Stops!
The people of Facade :(
I already thought this happened with the king ._.
oh tyrann, you're the reason why i love this game
Fav part of the whole game is the twins battle
@laithrem Sechs is german and means six ^^
8:23 HOLY SHIT ITS RAINING EMIL!
NG+ effect.
Sechs did something the player can never do... Beat that damn Shade ! he is so epic...
It's just a section that exists as an in-between with the songs sadly.
9:56 kaine gets the ultimate t-bag experience :P
i've said it before but nier = amazing story and depressiveness :)
First Time Watching: OMG Shade bastards fusing together!
NG+ Watching: D*:
so the shades never did anything bad it was actually everyone else that sucks for the shades
AceR4800 No exactly. Both sides are even good or bad. Tho project Gestalt is a big failure.

out in dlc to yonah
What do the other choices do at 2:01?

@edstreme13 your right
Is it wrong that i was rooting for the shades through the whole video?
Not it's not, cause the shades aren't wrong but neither are the other people, it's just the matter of who you think is right.

TheDarkWall Technically what Nier did resulted in the death of mankind so if he had just given up and died that wouldn't have happened.
I was too
bait668, yeah. He literally undid everything when he erased himself from existence. All for a girl he (let’s face it) barely knew.
oh wow T.T dang man...
