Given everything that has gone on today in what has been one of the darkest days the sport has ever seen, I really thought about not uploading tn, but I think we could all use a little distraction right now Rest in peace Johnny & Matthew Gaudreau ❤🙏
@@jaylenbarnes2.079 I would like to see video about best defenseman pair. Which two are most effective for the team on both ends? I bet Heiskanen-Harley has got to be on the top three.
@imulippo5245 Yeah that's a solid idea I'm sure MSZ or any other small hockey channel like a Hectic Hockey could make that video into a banger video for sure
When Teemu was pretty much done with his career, during the last season of his career in 2013, a movie was made of his life and career. In that movie Teemu himself said that he was given 2-3 seasons of hockey when his knee was operated during the lockout. His surgeon said that knee would not last more than that...But by some miracle it did last a lot longer and we got to see Selänne reaching 684 goals and win that Stanley Cup he always wanted to definitely deserved. You probably can't even understand how big of an icon Teemu has been here in Finland since the early 90s. That was the time hockey started to become the biggest sport of the country and at the same time Selänne became one of the biggest stars of the NHL. Teemu was absolutely massive here and no one even needed to use his last name. It was just Teemu and everyone knew who people were talking about. Cheers from Finland!
I'm not a Finn, but I grew up living his career. The tallent, the persona, the great heart and loyalty was all Teemu Sellanne, "The Finnish Flash". Watching him play was always fixating, and his duo-relationship with Paul Kariya in Anaheim "Mighty" Ducks was pure awesomeness. They became one of the absolute greatest duo in NHL history as they not only matched each-other so well that they could find each-other at near any position and any angle to score goalsa but for so many years repeating it! In all International competitions, IIHF WC 1999, 2001, 2003, OG 2010, 2014 etc. was all tournaments I so badly wanted him to win the gold medal(s). So thankfull I have his autograph, obtained long after his career ended !!!!
As a die heart kings fan, watching the kings beat the ducks in the 2014 western conference finals was so great. But also very sad seeing selane go out like that. I always got upset that he would light up my kings, but I could never hate him. He played the game right and was such great player. I had the honor of meeting him several years ago at a comedy club and got to shake his hand and congratulate him on his amazing accomplishments.
Hey man. I found your videos a few days ago and I think I've watched them all. Keep them coming. I love hockey with a deep passion. And these videos are simply amazing. Great work.
@@MSZFilms I just finished this Teemu video and this was quite the onion cutter my guy. What a LEGEND. I was born is 1985 and grew up watching hockey. Played hockey myself in Ontario but never got past Jr C. We did win Clarence Shmalz Cup back in 2005. and Won many OMHA ontario championships growing up. My love for the game is deep. Keep the videos rolling man. These are the best.
You said it well that he had 2 primes. Great players have a hall of fame career. Legends have careers so great that they can be split into multiple hall of fame careers. Teemu = Legend
Your hockey-reference page looks like mine. A lot of previously clicked links shown in purple. Now im curious, why were you looking at some of those team rosters lol
I love Selanne, but as a swede im glad he didnt get an olympic medal in 2006. Insane good hockeyplayer, also somewhat underrated. Also from what i have seen a solid person in general. Also, finland has 0 Olympic medals. Swedens 1994 Lillehammer dont count aswell cause it was amateurs playing. So Sweden 1- 0 Finland
@@ethanparker7900 didnt matter what era he played in. he would be even better in todays wide open game. hes the best right winger in history and played on the greatest team in nhl history possibly in the history of sports

Any chance of a vid on a Dallas stars player?
@landonstammer4377 That's a great idea; I feel like Wyatt Johnston or Logan Stankoven would be a good one to do a video on
An Eddie Belfour video will definitely be made one day!

Hahaha it’s easy to get lost on hockey reference or hockey db what can I say 😂😂😭
He is actually from Espoo, not Helsinki. Although he spend a lot of time in Helsinki, playing for Jokerit..
Teemu said it himself, his career was spiralling downhill from his rookie season. :)
😂😂
Before Nate Mc David there was the Finnish Flash ahead of it time
finally
You think he's fast on skates, watch him in a rally car.
Selanes rookie season was like my rookie season in be a pro
