I found that shop the last time I was in Japan in January and I was BLOWN away by all of the ultis, Blue-Eyes, DMG, and all the other high end cards they had there!

Loving the Japan vlogs! Definitely excited for more of them, I really enjoy your takes on the stores and cards there. I also don’t know about the maid cafes haha last time I was there I didn’t get how they could have so many many workers out getting paid haha.
The whole maid cafe thing is really odd. I follow some girls that work in them on social media and it just seems to be... you pay a lot for expensive alcohol + to spend time with beautiful/cute/(whatever theme they have) girls (or guys). And maybe buy some photos they take of themselves. It's a really weird idol-style offshoot business tbh. Girls either use it as part time work during university or they grow their brand (social media) to transition into being an idol or create a fashion brand etc.
I guess the weirdest thing to me is... the fact that this business works - and exactly as you say it, it works even though theres hundreds of these.

There are dedicated customers who frequent consistently for each cafe. On top of tourists adding to this, the price of everything is super high. It is very profitable for them.
Man their stock in those shops are amazing. Makes me want to go back to Japan lol

FYI card rush are kind of the staples in Japan for the card market, most of the shops align their prices based on what card rush are doing
Also fukufuku were robbed about 2 months ago if I recall correctly, the guy stole a Blue Eyes but can't remember which one

My collection display is based from how they're displayed in Japan, I have glass cabinets which show sealed items and cards, have the PSEC Dark Magician and a bunch of AE ultis, I felt like some of my collection was wasted in a binder

Wait I'm confused, at 11:02 , isn't that the 2000 Weekly Shonen Jump A-E Blue Eyes? I think only 1,000 of these were made. I could tell by the style of "Blue-Eyes White Dragon", it also has the "Super Rare Card, highest attack and defense card" flavor text on it.

The selection is amazing, but seriously what is wrong with them putting a sticker over a quarter of the art work? Put it in the corner of the slab, on a tag, or on a stand next to the card.... you come for the art on the card... having it obscured by a tag come on now. Not ot mention who would seriously want to pay hundreds to thousands for a card to have to hit it with goo gone to get the sticker crude off?
