Will it stand up to hammering a locked piece of steel? I'd be interested in trying it out, but I'm worried about durability. Is this primarily for woodworking, or is it supposed to really hold up to hammering and pounding? Mounting the chainsaw or other tools is genius though.
@jeffc6832 ok, good. I wasn't sure, other than the stated examples, what uses there were, and how you really need something different for more punishment. The examples presented make it super versatile for what it is. Really the price point isn't awful either.
It's plastic and VERY expensive. I would be happy with a forged one and generic wood vise. Much cheaper in price. This would make a good lock picking vise tho!

For $280 and UP... it should be made in USA, no vice from chy nuh is worth half that.. imho

What happened to record vises
Not a bad vise for small light duty jobs and projects. But that price turned me off.

Looks like a monumental pile of Chinese sh!t…. I’ll stick with my Wilton Toddler and articulating base.
