My brother and I both served in the Marines. He did 6 yrs and I made it a career. This game has been on our bucket list for many years. We went last year and if you’ve never been but want to go. Get it done. There is nothing like it. No professional game not even the super bowl ( I have been)compares to it. To see all those young men and women about 4000 on both sides and all the families and veterans that have served it’s just a great atmosphere. We will go again and again and again.
Cried when I watched this before the game last year. And cried again when I saw this video. I never miss an Army/Navy game and can't wait to actually go to one. God bless to all our soldiers, Marines, midshipmen, who choose to serve our country!! But I have to say it....Go Navy!!!
@MingTongPang54, I watched this video again when I saw your comment and teared up some more. This is nothing more awesome in football than this game. I never miss any of the pre-game stuff that airs. It's part of the game and the tradition so to me it's like a responsibility to watch it. Have a friend who went to Annapolis (he's a submariner) and his mom went to one while he was there and she told it just choked her up. Every time Navy has a game on, we are both watching cheering Navy on. On an
The Army-Navy Game is more exciting to me than the Super Bowl. It's become a cliche but it really is the purest of what American sports should be. GO NAVY!!
i live in ohio and michigan and ohio state football gets alot of props. but i also served 11 yrs in the navy which get a hell of alot more props.. go navy
willie petersen (grissom from csi) spooks me with his voice over. future leaders of the arm forces put it all out in the line. as an enlisted member of navy, i would sa,y "GO NAVY!"
@ncisfan78 its actually a good exprience. some nice early activities like classes from both school march to the field, "prisoner exchange" (dubbed by some people- the best student from both school go the other's school for a bit) and some on field stuff (Army student and Navy student at it with friendly competition) the pregame was just amazing, the field was just electrifying. the actual game was fun chanting GO NAVY (for me anyway since i am serving on an Aircraft carrier.)
Great video. Good game and congrats to Navy for the win. More importantly thanks to all that have, do and will serve in our military. But for now, the Commander in Chief's Trophy will sit in Clune Field House at the Air Force Academy until we beat Army and Navy again next year. Go Air Force, beat Georgia Tech! AMERICAS' TEAMS...PLAYING IN AMERICAS' GAME.....AND OUR COUNTRY...SALUTES ALL WHO SERVE...And I would Sell my Soul to have one, or both, of my 2 grandsons( now ages 11 and 3 ) play in this Game...for either team.
I love the American Servicemembers; yet I despise the lying politicians who put these fine Citizen-Soldiers in harms way. All I can say is remember the Oath you took: Support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign......AND DOMESTIC.
@fear123wz No offense, yeah right. I went to USNA and I'll always say "Beat Army"...but I'll never say Army sucks. Do I want Navy to win today? Hell yes I do. But right after thegame, I want both teams to win. It's the good guys versus the good guys. Yes, it's an intense rivalry...but in the end, all of the cadets at West Point and Midshipmen at Navy want both sides to win- at everything. Always brothers...(just not for those four hours today)
