Good call on retying. Saw a video that did a stretch test and with Flouro, you always want to retie after a big catch. With mono, it holds up a lot better.
If you think your scale is off, try putting a 5 dumbell bell in a grocery plastic bag, and use your scale. Usually a 5lb dumbell is 4.90-4.96 on the scale. But yeah, that was an awesome day you had! 🔥💪
I’ve heard guys say before that Florida strain bass appear larger than northerns. I have no idea if it’s true or not because I’ve never been to Florida but maybe that’s what’s going on
