The Viper Ultimate was my first Razor gaming mouse, because of the low $70 price, and it felt really good coming from a G900. I had to get used to the size though (big hands). But after watching so many videos on the V2 Pro I had to try it out for myself. At the end of the day from thoroughly using both mice I ended up returning the Viper Ultimate, and keeping the V2 Pro even though the price was a hard swallow. My wallet is still mad at me. 😢
What made you prefer the v2 over the ult for the price difference, is it the lightness/feel? I’ve been debating these two or even the Logitech super light pro x
@@ardechey It tracks better, and the lightness did improve my gameplay. Also, I just installed the grip tape that's included, and now it feels like a softer grip, but more comfortable than the hard rubber grip of the Viper Ultimate. The only thing I hate about the mouse is the price. I want to return it, but I can't. 😆 Good luck on your choice.
If you like the shape it’s great, but for me personally as a claw grip user the hump ends up being too low and my grip starts slipping. Haste and GPX basically fix this issue, but I still prefer the sides of the Viper. Interestingly the Viper Mini also has a much better hump design that’s higher, but it’s overall just too small for me.
It’s crazy that I’m in a similar situation. I love the GPX hump as a claw user that likes to rest their palm in something but I hate the sides of the GPX. Viper has the narrow side that gives me a spot to comfortably put my pinky but I’m scared the hump is too low. Have you found a mouse that hits the best of both?
I was almost buying the V2 Pro until the day I pulled the trigger, the Ultimate was on sale for $59.99 with the dock, so.... a no brainer I went for the Ultimate. I will have to get used to the right side buttons and the grip though.
@@nyomn It still rocks as my main gaming mouse for competitive Warzone. I got used to it and I can't replace it because is perfect. With the grips it suits my big hand and is a fast and precise deadly mouse. I win battleroyales with it. The day it takes a crap I will replace it with the same because awesome quality and performance.
They wanted so badly to beat the GPX in weight they ditched the dock charging lol, I would upgrade my 2 year old VU if the mouse weighed 62-64g to keep the charging dock.
If they had a dock and all the best features of the original I woulda forked over the 150 but I went with the original it just has way better features other than lighter weight and better sensor
My original ultimate's middle mouse button suddenly stopped working as well. I have to press it hard now for it to work, so I might have to be in the market for a new mouse now. It sucks because I just bought the Viper ultimate.
have you ever tried the MSI Clutch GM41? It's just a longer slightly larger Viper, and honestly, a pretty sick mouse. I know some people have quality issues on copies but mine is great.
I came here for a mouse review, then out of nowhere I saw destiny 2 gameplay. Literally the only game I play 😅 this review is perfect. Destiny player reviewing mice
Hey! Is there LOD issue for ultimate or v2 pro? Cause some Razer mouse like viper mini there is LOD issue. I can't play well for FPS game because of that LOD issue.
Gonna upgrade from a Razer Taipan, dont really know which to choose. Im guessing the performance increase will be great either way for me, but the Ultimate is €88 atm while the V2 Pro is €160. So yea, Ultimate it is than, right? or is the V2 Pro really that much better and if money wasnt the issue, should I go with the V2 Pro instead?
ive had an ultimate for almost 2 years now and i love it. def worth the purchase. id probably get the ultimate and after a while of using it and you like it maybe then upgrade to the v2 pro. im 100% considering the upgrade
@@andrew9042 yea probably gonna go with the Ultimate, especially for the price as Im also upgrading my keyboard and headset. Than when the time comes for an upgrade maybe ill buy the Viper v7 😉
@@ChilledFire I did, had it for the past 3-4 months, no regrets. Went from everything wired (headset, keyboard, mouse) to all wireless, was a but getting used to charging stuff (although battery life is great) but for the mouse the dock is awesome.
Imo im not spending $150 on mouse anymore i got my gpx over a year ago and while its amazing i just have so many amazing mice that i got for a wayyy wayy cheaper like the orochi v2 and xm1r for example
Also the Viper V2 Pro should last with more reliable clicks due to the fact that the Gen 3 switches gets you a 90M click span instead of 70M on the Viper Mini and Ultimate.
Dude I have just started to whatch this video and i DID enjoyed your "but-but-butt" punchline because this is what i like to use from time to time, feels strange but cool
Horrible software. I bought(V1) it at the same time I recommended it to a friend. We both ended up with the same issues. On and off issues, the software stopped detecting it whenever it wanted. When you flicked too quick it turned off. It was the worst mouse I've ever owned.
Just to let you and the comments know, the dongle can be stored in the front of the mouse where it is charged.

If it’s lighter and better sensor then I think it’s worth the upgrade but the price should be reduced a bit.
Razer just wants a taste of what logitech did with the gpro x
@@anthonyisais9941 yeah I still prefer the g pro though.
picked up a viper ultimate for 52$ yesterday triple the price for the v2 is just too much
Wired or wireless, Viper is an excellent gaming mouse. I still pairing my old VIper with old version Huntsman TE.

Hello I found the V2 pro on $80, is it worth the price ?
if its real, 100%
Yo share the link to the 80 dollar mouse lmao that is worth as fuck
Its worth the scam 🎉

i do have the ultimate and the Pro. i do like the V2 pro weight improvement and the lod is better!
Is the build quality better? Any flexing or creaking?

I have the viper mini and feets are basically the same the only difference is it’s wireless and has upgraded sensor

As a G502 Lightspeed user who suffers tremendous double click issue... Is the Viper v2 pro a great mouse without encounter double click issue?
Razer has lazer clickers, meaning no double-clicks

How about the clicks? The V3 has more crisp clicks? It is a noticeable difference?

why isn't that mousepad chroma keyed? :D
I just bought the v2 pro in "like new condition for $85 lol
just bought the white ver, but I’m more curious about the wear and tear

its the same the diff is only it has a slightly better senser and its lighter and the buttons are more out on the v2 pro
but some people says that the v2 pros switches are more crisp
imagine how good this would look with the ..... alpha 1 (; double viewer count forsure! (looks perfect already though
