I love that this song is about Jill jones, he had a way of capturing the essence of his girlfriends. Great review now when am I gonna see a review of madhouse. You don't see him physically but the fact that he played everything except the horn is mind blowing. My dad used to tease me about prince until I stole his car to go to peaches records in ft Lauderdale 😳 that after being on a plane hijacked to Cuba. Lol good Ole days.
i was thinking the same about Donna as i watched. been watching all your vids since the week you started (i just don't get to comment often). i have really enjoyed your journey with Prince.......you have come some way. i have loved this song since i became a fan in 1987 as a 12 year old. and then i got to see him play it iive at Wembley Stadium in London , 1993. keep on keeing on m friend.
An absolutely perfect performance. Speechless. I think Bruce springsteen commented these arsenio performances, how insanely perfect there were. So true.
It was really interesting watching Donna during rehearsals. She was always laser-focused on what Prince was doing. You could tell she learned a lot from playing with him.
