And it IS the internal parts I was more interested in. Going to go with the FCS that gives the best stats for missiles, as it’s a missile-boat AC. At least I don’t have to ask about Thrusters LOL
@Ghostwolf82 yeah, if you don't know how coral generators work, you have to run your energy all the way down. After the cooldown period, you'll have 75%-full energy depending on the generator and build. I used some ibis series parts, and the bigger generator cools down to full energy.

This. When I saw the little cliff I was like "fuck that, i have boosters" only to find the game wasnt keen on that. Game also doesnt like if you dip before blowing up the last generator. Cool game, but not exactly a seamless mission.
LMAO what an awesome way to complete this mission. I would never have thought of this. Then showing off by climbing over the explosion at the end instead of clearing it was the perfect touch.
I never noticed how different the efficiency is between the front thrust and just flying upwards with this leg, I know there’s supposed to be a difference but I didn’t thought it would be this much, that’s kinda cool.
Idk if this is a known technique but when I want to gain altitude, I like to assault boost upward, then 180 quick turn and assault boost upward again, and repeat like I’m going up a staircase. I’m not sure if it’s faster but it feels faster.

It's surprisingly capable as a floaty weapon platform, plus if someone gets too close you can ram them with the second highest "kick" damage in the game
It's actually an insanely good part, but most people use it like bipedal legs or think if it as a tankier quad. The key to making it work is in using it like a mobile weapons platform or a b-2 bomber. Keeping out of range of targets while landing heavy hits. Especially shines with plasma weapons and manual aiming. Might be the most technical part in the game.
I wish they made it to where you had to approach it from the left or right side so you had to go some distance in order to not be hit by the laser. Of course it'd probably make it too difficult for some (assuming they made it past the first boss). I got hit once and my first thought was "more left. Go more left" and that solved any issue of difficulty.
It would be cool if in an update they removed the early upper limit so you could fly up to the top of the strider without breaking the leg and continue the mission. They should add an achievement for it named freebird too lol. Probably won't happen because too much about the mission would have to change. Obviously there would have to be a new animation built for the rear set of legs exploding. On top of that destroying the leg is the programmed trigger for transitioning the map, unloading the collision and other non-visual and enemy data from the ground portion to loading in all of the collision data for the strider portion and changing the mission bounds so falling too far kills you. They would have to change that to some proximity trigger, which they probably thought of but it would be awkward to tune to just the right distance because of the change in mission bounds. They could just try and load both the initial/ending map AND the strider map simultaneously and remove the lower mission bounds from the strider portion of the mission but I get the feeling they didn't do it this way originally because of how much it strained consoles or lower end PCs with regards to some calculations and most likely VRAM constraints. I bet you they absolutely thought about doing it this way because that's how they did the Spirit of Motherwill mission in AC4A. That was two console generations ago but it was also a different engine, people were okay with 30fps more than now, and people's expectations for graphics quality was much lower.
@@nicoboygaming A modder would be the best chance because they will just do something they think should exist. I just can't see the From Soft team being willing to dedicate dev time to it since it would be just a niche detail but would require more than just a little work.
kind of doesn't make sense they build something 5km long and the main protection they have for AC is the "eye", but then the eye is on the top. Also couple of AC for protecting such expenesive assets would have make more sense also.
