It depends on how many pixels ? It can control 1000 pixels .

Yes , it can work with WS2815 .You can connect data wire and backup data wire to the DO port .

Dhruv Gulati yes if you connect the databpin of the led strip to a digital pin on the aurduino and the pos and neg to the power supply it would work

We don't ever use X2 ,so We can not help you solve this problem . You can ask the controller seller .

Yes , you can use DC12V power supply for it . WS2815 is ok . Thie controller can control WS2815 LED strip . The power voltage must the same with led strip . If you use DC5V LED strip , you power supply must be DC5V .Using DC12V LED strip , you have to use DC12V power supply

Excuse a transformer of AC 110 / 220V to DC5V 10A 50W Power transformer is fine to power the led strip rgb 12v with the controller music, or I have to use a normal 12v power supply?
Hello, it is depend on your led strip. if your led strip is 12V strip, you can only use 12V power supply.

I have X1 music controller and connected to the WS2811 5m roll - 60 LED'S/M. But when I start it only the first 3 LED's light up and nothing changes even if I change the modes.
Can you please help me here ?

There was something faulty with the controller, I replaced it with a X2 Controller and all is fine now
I have a similar problem. That is, I bought an X1 controller, I plugged in and turned on the device. The LED strip lights up white and that's it. I tried with Led Strips ws2812b and ws2813. The problem is the same. I tested the LED strips with Arduino and are correct.The problem is certainly in the X1 controller.
The strip says a Max wattage of 45W but the power supply you used in the first part is 5V 20A so it is 100W. Isn't that a problem
By the way, I have a WS2813 strip from BTF and it works wonderfully.
Thanks for your support . And this is a great question . If the max wattage led strip is 45W , the power supply is DC5V20A 100W . This is safe for the led strip although the power supply is 100W . You also can use DC5V60A 300W power supply . The most important is voltage , the led strip is DC5V , you can not use DC12V for it . It will burn this led strip .

@@zUltra3D Usually we recommend connect the led strip to the power supply like the connection in the video ,but if you want connecting the controller to the power supply , it is ok . No problem.

So what is the difference between the X2 and X1 other than extra buttons on the case? There were two versions of the X1. Version 1 had 27 music modes and 14 standard modes. Version 2 of the X1 had 33 music modes and 14 standard modes.

@@x3nonvoidch504 Make sure your LED strip is DC5V . You can use DC5V60A for the led strip even DC5V40A . DC5V100A is also OK .
just remember not to touch the top two connections while poking around...ha ha ha.
Not too good to use leds still on the reel for too long, they will overheat and possibly de-solder.
My ws2811 5m led strip ip67 has 300 leds ( classed as 100 pixels as there are 3 RGB leds in series per IC) didnt know they did 30 leds per metre.
I also use an EX PC PSU as it doesnt have bare mains terminals rated at 500W 2 x 12v @ 17 amps plenty of power for several strips in series, as long as they are powered from both ends to avoid fading over the length.
Did you have any problems with the x2 music controller, mine wouldnt work properly. Set on the 1903 setting which is what the ws2811 led strips are supposed to use.
The X1 if you look at my above comment came in two variants. They both supported the 1903 which should drive the ws2811 and the ws2812b. My 5m 300 ws2812b strip works fine on the 1903 setting. The downside is the clocks speeds are slower for the 1903 chip so pixel response times will be slower on longer chains. Maybe the X2 has a dedicated 2812b or 2811 setting.

I have 2 LED strips of the 144/meter WS2812B. Can the X1 run them and can it run them without this slow response time?
I run a strip of 5m WS2812b with 300 leds. Speed is fine in audio mode but a little slow on the 14 non music modes. Unfortunately IC1903 is the only setting on the X1 ver 1. I've got an X1 ver 2 coming shortly so will check if 2812 is a setting option. I think the X2 may well support more chipsets at the higher clock speeds. I am waiting for a response from the manufacturer.
I haven't use the X1 ever before , So I can not comfirm if the X1 ver2 can work with your led strip. the X2 support the ws2812b led strip . I want to ask that the WS2812B LED strip is BTF product ?
