👀400ex💩 pivot bolt not coming out

400ex pivot bolt for the swing arm will not budge. Everything else on the 400ex came right off no problem.

Lift motor and swing arm back and forth . Drill and tap bolt use pressure with bolt hit out with hammer

#portedhead i had to cut one out of my 07 ltz400 after about 2 hours of trying to beat it out. trying to cut it out by hand sucked and trying to not mess up the cases in the same breath. keep up the hard work my dude PEACE

I use one of those extended 3" cut off wheels now it just fits if you unbolt the rear shock bolt and let the swing arm drop down in the rear

Have you tried an air hammer with a 1/4 inch punch? I did this yesterday and it worked to push out 4 inches.... After it was out for inches, we put a vise grip and started smacking it out with a 3 foot stake.

I ended up just cutting it out then i soaked it for a few days then she finally gave way

@@garagemcmatt damn bro, that's hectic I'm glad you got it out and I'm glad I didn't have to go that route 😢 I had my swingarm bolt soaking for a week in pb blaster. I got a short reel up on my page.

@@Ninoo187 nice bro it's good to document stuff. Everyone I have talked to had to take a different route to get the pivot bolt out. I use trx450r pivot bolts now oem honda ones the part of the bolt that goes through the case bushings is turned down to a smaller diameter so it helps for the next time plus I paint it with anti-sieze.

I had that one sideways in a 12 ton press bro didn't budge I ended up cutting it out. Might need your help on this crazy 05 yfz450 I just got the wiring is driving me nuts

@@garagemcmatt yea man. People don’t understand the importance of anti-seize on those and and the long upper a-arm bolts. I can help where needed.
