    True that! My core was week so I took up strength training. Now I'm a running powerlifter.

    Great explanation! You should also mention that core strength maintains hip stability, and help keep all those joints(knees, ankles, feet) in proper alignment and reduce their wear and tear. You still need to do other work for joints but core strength is the foundation for overall health of all the joints.

    Thanks for being so clear and detailed in your videos it really feels like a one on one training session. I needed to hear that it's about my daily posture than core workout. Do you have any videos on how to run with double jointed hips?

    Nate - Are you a PT or DPT? You seem to have plenty of technical knowledge of complex body mechanics, in this case, the core, but you have posted excellent videos on hips, posture, etc. as well.

    Great video. See so many people bent over their phones on the tube! Need to remind myself not to do it and to keep up the core sessions at least twice if not more a week!

      When I see that, sternum out, chin tucked, shoulders back. It's so so common.

    Once the core stays strong then form stays strong. I dont think a lot of runners know that when form starts to break down its the core thats the first to go

    How to fix that bad neck posture with head going forward?

    • @TheRunExperience
      @TheRunExperience  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Try doing posture resets throughout your day! Nate walks through what this means at minute 4:00 in the video

    I've had abominal pain after running now for a few months. Physio advised to go to gp as she said was not muscular. Just had a scan of kidney and bladder, both fine. The pain is just above the bladder area, if you lift your feet off the ground when lying down that's where the pain is. It's driving me insane not getting to the bottom of it. Going back to gp again. Just wondered if anyone had any advise

    Running is pretty stupid. You get more out of walking and far less injuries.
