How do the colours hold up over time? I'm thinking of getting this model but there's very little info on ink permanence compared to the better dye based inks that aren't available in this region

Because this printer uses ink, over time, the colors might not look as good. But if you use the original ink from the maker, they might stay good longer. Still, ink colors can fade because of light and moisture.
If you're worried about this, you might want to try a laser printer instead. They use dry, powdery ink, which could be better for keeping print quality high

I just bought the printer, but the colors of the photos are not the same as the original image. I use A4 160gm paper. Is the reason for specifying the print quality?

Hello. To solve the color matching problem with your printer, consider the following points:
Print quality settings: Ensure that the print quality is set to the highest level. This can significantly affect the quality and accuracy of the colors.
Paper type: The weight and type of paper also have an impact. A4 paper with a weight of 160 grams is suitable, but make sure the printer settings match the type of paper. Select the correct paper type in the printer settings.
Color profile: You might need to align the printer's color profile with the image you are printing. This can be done through photo editing software or the printer settings.
Ink cartridges: Check that the ink cartridges are full and the ink is distributed properly. Sometimes, a lack of ink or cartridge issues can cause color discrepancies.

There's no specific reason, just so you can better see how the print head works.

I have a question is it true that i have to use it daily or at least once every other day or the ink will dry and give you bad printing???? Please someone help me about this

Yes, that's absolutely correct. Inkjet printers, if not used regularly, can experience ink drying out which can damage the print head and cause it to stop functioning. The print head is the most crucial part of Epson and other inkjet printers and can be quite expensive to replace. Therefore, it's very important to use the printer at least twice a week. Our recommendation is to print one or two sheets every two days, which should be sufficient to keep the print head in good condition

There is a problem with my printer when printing on PVC. It is not pulling out the card template and not turning on the red light in the printer. What is the solution?

If you are using Epson PhotoPlus software for printing PVC cards, please ensure that you have selected your printer correctly and click on "Print" at the end. Do not mistakenly click on "Test Print". If there are no issues with your selection and settings, it might help to turn the printer off and on again and try once more.
