      I’m an old guy as well, I have two FS 9”’s and HDS 12” with active target II , I’ve yet to get to try the AT , only get to go a few times a year, so that’s a challenge trying to learn the equipment, so these videos have been a huge help, thanks fir explaining this stuff

    Wow, I learned so much from this video, don’t know where to begin … underwater video, misinterpreting fish finder, finding fish not equal catching, …… Thanks for sharing it. Sometimes you learn more from not catching.

    Hands down the very best video on the comparison of the different views. Just purchased the WaterWolf camera to help me understand the same question you addressed so well in the video - Are there fish there but just not interested in my offering.
    Thanks you for such a great video. You made my day!

    wow this is probably the coolest and very informative videos iv seen in awhile. not saying all of your videos are very informative your like my go to when I'm really trying to learn offshore stuff and fish finder suggestions but this was really cool to see. I for sure don't feel as bad now for finding a great school of fish and not getting them to bite one lure lol. nice work man keep it up your videos are literally the best 👌

    Man your catching is looking a lot like mine. When I first saw the group that followed your bait I called bass and turned out right. I have had so much of that this summer. Follow or just plain ole swim away. Bring that stuff over here to the clear water at BSL. Another great vid, Thanks.

    Great video. Keep up the content; I use a camera for the same purpose and the results can be amazing. We are not always right on the type of fish we think they are.

    Jonny, I really enjoy your videos and enjoy seeing pictures sonar images. Are those images from your hummingbird unit?
    This darn illness has turned me into an armchair fisherman but I still like watching. They say the happy day is when you buy a boat and the next happier day is when you sell it. For me, I hate to thought of selling my boat😢. Hey, You should buy my boat that way I'll have the enjoyment of watching you fish out of it. haha Most people Don't have a garage big enough for a twenty one foot. Thank you so much for the content you put out. It's always been helpful.

    I have made a clip out of pvc to attach the Aqua view to my telescoping lure retriever pole "the money pole" and can control more of a direction the camera is viewing. And on one occasion I used it to retriever the crank bait that had broken off.

    I did this same thing found a brush pile on livescope the first time I fished it caught two over 3 pounds the next time I went to fish it there were dots all over it but couldn't get a bite thought maybe the bass moved out and I was now looking at crappie but dropped my aquaview and it had 3+ pound bass all over it but still can't get them to bite

    Can I ask a map question ? Just got a new ECHOMAP 54cv for my small bass boat. The 54cv supposedly came with the US coast and LakeVu maps but on a large lake in Maine I dont have anything but the Quickdraw map...nothing comes up when I select Navigation or Fishing...is this normal or am I not understanding how to view the lake ?

    • @FishtheMoment
      @FishtheMoment  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Some lakes don’t have Navionics maps for them. You can check on the Navionics Web App to see if they support your lake.
      If they do show up online, you should be able to update your unit to get the maps.

    • @tomjpt
      @tomjpt ปีที่แล้ว

      Welcome to Maine! It is frustrating to have so few complete depth contour maps. I have the Humminbird LakeMaster V2 chip. Newly surveyed waters include: Annabessacook, Big Pond, Chickawaukie, Crescent, Maranacook, Messalonskee, Panther Pond, Parker Pond, Pleasant, Sabattus, Sebago, Thomas Pond, Three Miile Pond, Unity Pond and Wilson Pond in Maine
      Not sure how accurate their list is. Also not sure where the data is coming from. I suspect Navionics is supplying much of the data. We're just not in major bass fishing territory as far as they are concerned.

    • @FishtheMoment
      @FishtheMoment  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Haha I agree. These fish are catchable, the conditions were just not great. A little wind, clouds, or low light could make these fish active and very catchable. Timing is still important, even if you find the fish.
