As an hr student I learn every day how misinformed people are on management and business topics, workplace unprofessionalism doesn’t mean workplace bullying or harassment. Also new jeans and Hani have not provided any proof that it isn’t more than a two time thing by two different people or different statuses within the company

True. We have yet to have clarity about BPD not greeting them. Did he see or hear them? Being polite and socially acceptable is doubtful on his job description. Forcing a person to speak to another person in greeting is a violation of their rights. He has the right to not say hello to whomever he chooses. Polite? Maybe not. But still his right. Also this is Hanni’s second time doing this accusation w no proof. Seventeen was her first. They look like spoiled brats that ran wild, then were asked to follow the rules and now- throwing a tantrum.

@g2231-v2p Absolutely right, we don’t really have any confirmation on exactly why he didn’t greet the girls, it’s my belief that he didn’t greet them because of the girl’s sticker prank and maybe some other things as well. I know it’s been said that BPD has face blindness, but I don’t think that’s the reason why he didn’t greet them, I honestly think it’s because NJ we’re acting out the way they were. And then there’s a question of, is not greeting the girls considered mistreatment, or a sign of neglect? Which is something that MHJ’s side brought up

@@moonlight_antonio I agree, this is all fueled by MHJ. I really don’t get how the manager -ignore her -situation was ALL MHJ and 0 new CEO. People just skim over that and it’s quite amazing. I have heard the face blindness thing. Idk. I do know that sometimes people that are very intelligent often aren’t the best at social skills. Steve Jobs was supposedly quite the horrible human. But to me people like that are fine because they aren’t there to make friends or stroke people’s ego or insecurities. The National Assembly was a huge mistake on many levels.

There is a group right now, MADEIN, where a member was assaulted by the CEO and forced out when she went public, and the other members were threatened to not say anything after the CEO told their parents he would leave.
Crickets, especially from these so-called advocates. Instead of writing a fanfic to create martyrs out of bad actors, why not help some actual victims? Because it was never about victims or who was really wrong, or they'd have cut MHJ out of their rants ages ago, especially after what she said about those girls they are "defending" so hard.

They also have their own private make-up studio to themselves that they DO NOT need to go to the 4rth floor like every other HYBE Artists do in the first place. MHJ had them isolated from the rest of the HYBE Artists so it would make it easier for her to claim ADOR as independent from HYBE. They don't use any of the online platforms that the rest of the Artists do either. This was the power BPD had mistakenly given her when he made her CEO. He put so much trust in her not knowing she has other plans all along. Luckily all her plans to take over the company dating back to 2021 was aired out and HYBE takes action. Any press conferences that they do, only showed you that they are taking every steps as MHJ had done. They are following in her footsteps and the Tokkis are eating it up. Calling everybody else names, just like MHJ would herself.

    • @moonlight_antonio
      @moonlight_antonio  หลายเดือนก่อน +74

And then she put the blame of the isolation of NewJeans on BPD…. When it was she herself who isolated them.
And because of K-pop fans preconceived and justifiable frustrations towards companies for mistreating idols, it was easy for her to sell her narrative to the public because she knows how fans feel about companies, so she just used that to play on peoples emotions and take her side.
It’s a master class in manipulation and spinning a narrative.

@joyeetaghosh2209 There is so much that happened over the years with those companies way before Hybe was even created. HYBE has not done 0000.01% of the things they have done.
From mistreatment, blackballing, slave contracts, and sabotage to embezzlement. I'm only going to give you 2 examples here. You can look up the rest on different k-tuber channels. Just look up things like "K-pop company mistreatments," and a lot of videos will pop up. It's a lot of dark and shady stuff.
1.) Back in the day, YG had a girl group called Swi.T. The CEO, Yang Hyun-Suk, married one of the members. One day, he was watching a variety show about one of his boy groups. He saw a little girl in the background and said he fell in love with her. Mind you, she was like 12 or 15 at the time (not sure. I just know she was a minor under 15). She was the sister of one of the boys. He recruited her into his company as a trainy with the promise of debuting in a group and fame. Once the girl's group was doing well enough, Yang Hyun-Suk sabotaged the group because he thought that once she and the group became famous, she wouldn't look at him. He essentially ruined this young girl's and her group mates' careers and then married her afterward.
2.) SM sabotaged INFINITE's career. Back then, INFINITE was gaining so much success and was a big and direct competition to EXO. So SM bought INFINITE or their company, Woolim (I'm not sure which. Probably both). SM damaged the group's future projects and eliminated them as EXO's competition. They bought the group just so they could ruin it.
These 2 examples are just a summary of what happened. You can look up detailed videos. They are very easy to find on TH-cam.

New Jeans big problem that many dont even understand is, that Ador was its own entity run by Mhj. So, if there was mistreatment, overworked etc, it was all under Mhj and done by her. The new ceo has been in power since june and NJ has not worked much after that, just done their advertising and those schedules. So, they only can complain about stuff that has happened after Mhj left. And thats why they arent complaining anything related to not getting paid or starving or overworked. Because that would have been Mhj doings. Hybe had no power over Ador, Mhj wanted them to be separate in all. And when I look at those complains they made in their letter to Hybe, every part was very smart complaint. Even Hybe said in their answer, they cant do anything to most of those issues. The complain that Hybe didnt protect them from other groups manager? Its another company, what can Ador do but to ask them to clarify it and try to clarify it. If you work in a company and a staff from the company next door says something against you, what can your boss do about it? Talk to the other company boss and ask them not to do it again.
The most unbeliavable thing was to say that Ador is downplaying NJ achievements because of those japan aöbum sales. Ador only corrected their sales when their whole albumsales were said to be purely japan sales. It was the right thing to do, are you saying they should take part of the lie to overhype NJ?
But the main claim that remains is appointing Mhj and that Ador just can and will not do. Bang pd stepped down from the ceo position, armys didnt care at all, even if he had a big part of making Bts in the beginning and producing their stuff etc. Armys didnt go to the barricades and start a war and neither did Bts held a press conference asking him to come back 😂 As long as Bts is taken care of and getting paid and doing their music, who cares, who is their ceo? Its very sad to see an artist ruin their life for one person who can be replaced with just as competent ceo.

I've said it from the very beginning that they were lying about it all. I've said the things that you and 2 other K-pop creators have said. The reason why I said they were lying is because 1.) they said someone saying "ignore them" is mistreatment🙄
2.) They are supporting MHJ despite her history with inappropriate interests in regard to minors.
3.) They accuse Ador/HYBE of everything MHJ has done and did while she was still CEO. The things Ador/HYBE allegedly did were her doing. (Delaying NJ debut. Inappropriate dance training and song. Plagiarism etc)
4.) They hold everyone (Ador/HYBE/Dispatch/other staff) to an incredibly unreasonable higher standard than they do MHJ.
5.) They are hypocritical. When an employee came to MHJ and told her that she was SA'd by another employee, what did she do? Fire the victim without doing any investigation. She also allegedly s3*ually harassed another employee. What? It's okay for MHJ to mistreat and dismiss people, but not others? She has done everything they accuse Ador/HYBE and more. When will they call her out and hold her accountable?
6.) Making unreasonable demands (bring MHJ back despite HYBE showing proof that she is a traitor. Wanting to terminate contract without paying the fee. Etc etc etc)
7.) They NEVER show evidence despite saying they have it.

I think a lot of people need to know that maturity comes with experience , not by age , they might be adults but it doesn't mean they are mature ( someone who is the same age as hanni)
And can we remember that new jeeans breached contract first by making their press conference, they weren't fighting new jeans or even talking about them , they were in court with mhj , they only stepped in after the board had kicked her out of her position, where their ultimatum wasnt even about the mistreatment or to better the workplace , they literally threaten hune to give mhj her job back , and threaten belifts manager , but everytime hybe responds the fanbase ways attacks them ,mhj was the person who started this whole mess and why it became this way, and even then they were the first ones to say thst hybe/ador breached their contracts, from what i remember i dont even think hybe wsant even focused on their contracts at first , people have been trying to take down hybe ever since the beginning, its because hybe started off as a very small company , in korea groups from smaller companies are laughed at or frowned down upon , and bts went through alot of bullying because they were this boy group who were very "cocky" from the beginning , and people got made because bts made it big , and they made hybe who went from this bankrupt company to one of the richest companies in korea , and after that they started to build ither smaller companies off the ground , so basically its egos and superiority complex that hurt them , bts proved everyone who talked down on them wrong , and the groups who were ahead if them arent even relevent anymore

Exactly, that is my problem with putting all the blame or the main blame on the company for what is happening, it was a bad business move for HYBE and one I'm sure they are going to learn from, but they don't owe nothing to NJs that isn't in their contract. The well being of the girls and their futures is responsibility of their parents and the girls themselves, that's why I believe the parents are to blame. They should have protected and educated their daughters to avoid exactly what is happening. It's not difficult to see how lacking they are with their education. The way they have spoken and acting shows signs of manipulation, which can be recognized if you have experienced or witnessed that. But, they also clearly don't understand what professionalism, bullying and businesses are. NJs should just be an example of why kids shouldn't debut, instead of examples of mistreatment.
NJs should honestly, take a break from the entertainment industry and focus on their education, because they are just a risk to themselves and others.

@zaingel8112 oh yes , with me both of my parents have a background in law with a criminal justice degree , my dad has two law degree , criminal justice and law enforcement because he a police , my mom went back to school to be a teacher because she changed her mind about wanting to become a lawyer , and I can tell you my mom is an anxious parent, they would had been spoke up and sued hybe on their behalf , and hired a lawyer , it's sad that literally they are fighting this alone , hanni going to the court alone by herself , no parent involved, hell my dad would be at the stand with me , my mom always tell me if anything ever happens to me , always have documented proof , write down everything that happens from date and time , or either to have visual or audio proof , and always have a witness ready to support you to make your case more believable , I'm sad that they are fighting this alone , and it's probably worse having adults calling you dumb and stupid , and like I said I'm the same age as hanni , Im 20 young does not mean ignorant , I don't believe they are being manipulated into this choice , but they aren't making logical decisions for themselves

You know, I'm from the other side of the spectrum, I come from an immigrant family who had no education. But, like your parents they worked hard to become educated for the family to be safe, because unfortunately the world is unforgiving and if you don't learn or become educated, you WILL get used and extorted with no mercy. I've seen this been done and know the importance of being educated. And, not to be mean to the girls, but for their own benefit they HAVE to get educated.

@@Literally_dangeleeen I'm honestly giving them the benefit of the doubt, that they got manipulated by MHJ one way or another, considering that they were young when they started and they clearly have no parental support. Their actions also always lead to the benefit of MHJ, so unless they are honestly unintelligent, someone was giving them those illogical ideas that lead to their actions.
I'm also around the age range of NJs and it is off putting when people blame their ignorance on the age. When it is part of the problem, but the main problem lies that young idols are not receiving the proper education, they need due to companies and parents allowing minors to train/debut. And, the majority of fans are honestly missing that point, or are putting the whole responsibility on the company, not the parents/government.

I suggest to watch it) and because of that idk how Bunnies defend that woman like she is so weird?! Maybe im wrong but didnt Mhj keep NewJeans like exclusive? Not including them in Hybe events and giving them lots of priviliges?! Hybe literally created Ador for Mhj, idk how bunnies claim that everytime NewJeans wasnt included in an event was Hybe's fault when in reality it was MHJ who did it?! Mhj gave NewJeans so many privileges since debut unlike other Hybe groups! I think the reason why NewJeans reacted so harshly towards Ador's new CEO was because they were so used to receive privileges from Mhj! This is the firs time i comment something like this under a video of NewJeans because im simply not interested about them like fr i dont interact much with em like last time i saw NewJeans content was with Super Shy and that was only like 3 times? This whole drama is so unserious to me, bunnies are so toxic they say anything with a soft concept is a copy of their beloved group it makes me chuckle. I personally love ILLIT, because of the senseless hate received thanks to Mhj i decided to ignore and not interact with any NewJeans content but it keeps getting ridiculous. Two things can be true at the same time, Hybe is shitty and so is Mhj. It seems like NewJeans arent guided by anyone because everytime i hear something about their drama they are fooling arround? They dont seem like victims but like ungrateful girls who complain about everything, like they just started talking without knowing how the business works and its honestly embarrassing. Maybe if they were a bit more aware of what theyre doing i could take them seriously but i just cant. Kpop has been running for generations. No company is saint. Which goes for HYBE as well as Big 3 and others. Look at 50 50. That company was just some of the medium sized companies in Korea. Still those girls lost it and got into debt. These little girls like 50 50 and NJ just got a very easy success in this big black hole of kpop. I don't stan BP. But BP could have done same thing like these two groups. They had more influence than these nugus. Still they had patience. They had minimal cb but still fulfilled their contract period with maximum profit. And NJ thinks within 2years they gave enough profit to avoid contract breaching lawsuit and penalty. A person with minimum knowledge about contract and law can also realise that how dumb and delusional you have to be to state something like that in media. They didn’t need to involve in this mess. They did career suicide. They are basically something like whistle blowers. And we know that no matter if your are right or wrong, a whistle blower is always blacklisted in majority of industry. also watched the media power these company has especially Sm they use public manipulation and that is just scary how stupid korean people is sometimes even in this case. all company has faults but so does idols. look at the burning sun scandals i think if that idol wasn't caught right handed without proof their fans would still have believed in his innocence and i know many who still do and i was just chocked since they are girls too. you need to look past the exterior and see the people for who they are and these girls are not innocent they act like brats who want everything to go their way.

Antonio, the same problem I have with various people in the fandom(BTS). They want to justify issues that some members of BTS have or may have suffered by using n^s who haven't even got 0.0001% of what members of BTS suffered. These girls found everything laid to them. Hanni said that a manager said 'ignore her' - yet when she was in the National Assembly when she was asked about a certain issue she said 'I will have to go back and learn more Korean so that I can get a better understanding and not only that she also stated "I had to record the conversations in during the time they were looking at the CCTVs for evidence since she couldn't get what was exactly being said"
When I see some people in the fandom clapping for these girls, I despair for the boys they say they love. As much as I detest HB, I don't like how m^j and n^js want to take down hype using BTS. People also said with them-yet it's the same people who claim that BTS use the sajaegi(sp). Plus, there are various non-issues they are claiming.
Yes Hb has a lot to learn and change - however, you do all realise that the takedown of hb will only be through the destroying of BTS and that will systematically be each member. And that will also include creating rumours around them: and then later claiming that they really care about those members.
About the bg not greeting them: what if he had made himself very close to them and then they later claimed s£xl abuse. As much as he isn't someone I like, I am 100% grateful, he never made them seem that they were close to him. With what has just been posted by Dp - her trying to get a deal by asking one of the big money spenders to get the deal to move close to her and stating that even if it meant sleeping with him - I don't rule that out they would have used that card. So I think he saved himself from something very sinister. This is similar to H who decided to use the same lift yet they have a styling room that isn't on the same floor as ILit. H claims that other people are bullies yet she showed all of us that she is not far from being one from how she looked at the CEO during the hearing and how they omitted her from various important stuff like when they got an award recently.

Newjeans literally had their rights before that livestream, min heejin was supposed to get fired and that’s it. Newjeans then invited themselves in the drama for no reason and now people call that bravery? Ador would have continued to treat them well without min heejin. It shocks me that people still can’t rap their heads around that. Newjeans have no right to blame anyone because they did this to themselves.

Honestly, I don’t think the members are lying. I think they really feel/believe they have been wronged. This may be due to immaturity or because they have been fed the narrative, or both.
This all began when MHJ said Hybe started an audit after she complained about Belift copying her concept. Hybe said MHJ was caught planning a corporate coup. Which came first?…that’s the main point here. And frankly, this is where all should’ve ended. This is the actual controversy in this case.
In my opinion, the members’ involvement was the first mistake. Unless they have additional strong evidence about abuse, right now I don’t see how they can get away with their actions.
Even worse, they may be held responsible, not only for the cancellation clause fee, but for additional damages if Hybe’s stock does not recover after all this fiasco.
I think the girls will never ever be able to work with MHJ again (assuming there is a non compete clause), and even though they are huge and famous, I have my doubts about how much of that will be left when the whole ordeal is over. On the other hand, Hybe will loose their best selling act since BTS, and investors take note of that.
Bottom line, everyone will lose here, and that’s a shame.
PS: I’m a cpa/lawyer but I don’t know anything about contract law in Korea. There is a chance the members’ arguments stick in Korean courts and the girls come on top, or that MHJ can prove Belift copied her concept and Hybe retaliated with the audit after her complaints, in which case, the big corp will be liable for A LOT.

I agree, no one really wins in the situation. That’s what I foresee as well. Also, it is a perspective I did not consider, that the girls truly believe that what they’re saying is true about their situation.

    • @purpleskiesforever
      @purpleskiesforever หลายเดือนก่อน +16

What it seems to come down to is MHJ's Shareholders Agreement revision request in November 2023 to increase her put option from 15% (which allows her to sell her stocks back to Hybe at 13x the operating profit of Ador) to 30% (around 26x of profits), as well as termination rights for New Jeans. Hybe said no.
Apparently, that didn't sit well with MHJ and she allegedly started to meet with outside investors for the Ador takeover starting in February. One of the investors that she met with snitched on her and Hybe conducted an emergency audit of Ador.
A great unbiased timeline breakdown is on [namu wiki] and type Min Heejin and Ador Dispute. Warning that clicking all the links that the reference will take you down a never-ending rabbit hole. Lol. It's a great Korean website and the translations to English are pretty good.

I understand your sentiments. However, you have to take MHJ’s leaked chats into account. She never denied those btw, she just said they were taken out of context. According to those messages, she had been planning to steal the company and snatch the girl group away since 2021, even before ADOR was established. I believe everything that has happened since then has been a calculated buildup toward that goal. MHJ reportedly asked Hybe for the autonomy to cancel the girls’ contracts last year, and she had already calculated their penalty fees before Illit debuted.
Furthermore, MHJ seems to have strategically pampered the NJ members while feeding them narratives about HYBE’s alleged wrongdoings. This approach appears to have made the girls protective of her and, consequently, more sensitive, especially toward BSH. It’s evident in the way they overanalyze every interaction. Don’t forget that Hanni also had an incident with Seventeen.
Another point worth considering is that by clinging onto the ignore her case, they are making themselves vulnerable to lawsuits from Belift Lab. Even if HYBE/Belift deleted the video, the lack of concrete evidence turns this into a "she said, he said" situation. Additionally, it’s important to note that Hanni is not fluent in Korean. Even during the National Assembly, she misunderstood several points, which complicates matters further.
I personally don’t understand those who believe BSH is jealous of NJ’s success and is actively sabotaging them because he wasn’t involved in their production. If that were true, shouldn’t he also be sabotaging Seventeen, who are direct competitors to BTS and a group he’s also not involved with? All of NJ success is Hybe’s success anyways so why would he be jealous?
Lastly, NJ is not the second best selling Act after BTS. Rather, they are the best-selling girl group under HYBE.

With the way the SK politics are going, I'm inclined to believe that Hanni's case was indeed a distraction/excuse from the real problems going on. It was a case that HYBE should have been involved in (the mother company of ADOR), but not the government. It's unfortunate, but with bullying allegations there has to be solid proof or an investigation. Because, being a rude or not polite person, is not the same as being bullied, it's a sensitive case. What Hanni has described sounds like either a misunderstanding or people being rude. It's also not unwarranted if employees at HYBE don't like NJs due to their actions to support MHJ, who again has done workplace harassment and it seems like not a lot of employees liked her (which people have the right to decide to ignore people that warranted that, as long as it doesn't mess with their business ). That is like saying, all the idols that didn't/don't greet their peers or seniors are all bullies? Which that is not the definition of bullying, but rudeness/unprofessional.
It seems the girls don't understand that or like many have said they are getting manipulated into thinking the action of a rude person is bullying, when it isn't. So, depending on how this all ends, it will be a pretty big loss for groups/idols.
