Cat's fur/fluff as building material for bird nests

Attention cat owners! Wild birds could use your pet's fur/fluff in building their nests 🐦🪺 But only if the fur was not treated with any chemicals, like flea treatment or shampoo. Last year I saw a video how a cat owner left some cat's fur in a garden and a small bird picked it up :) I wanted to see if Lithuanian birds also would pick up cat's fur. Strangely, the fur/fluff was not picked up when it was attached to a birdfeeder (see my other YT videos). But as soon as I attached it to a tree, marsh tit or willow tit (both look similar) picked it up 😍😄
