GENERALYOUSIF This is the problem I have with one piece and a huge flaw in through out the series (with almost a THOUSAND CHAPTERS) ...Oda wrote Kaido into being an absolute beast and a formidably opponent who would decapitate Luffy the moment he set his eyes on him. Now skip a few chapters onwards and Kaido in a drunk dragon and wants to have Luffy join his crew......like WTF?! So far the wano arc has been confusing and all over the place. Everything that has happened so far has been very predictable. Hopefully it will pick up in the next few chapters.

I think Oda puts Luffy in jail so much because of Luffy’s belief that being pirate king will make him the man with the most freedom in the world. It’s ironic and it’s gonna feel great to look back at all the times his freedom was taken from him once Luffy becomes the king of the pirates.
Kabuki plays are usually divided into 5 acts, so I think we should expect 4 more of them. And not all the acts are usually of the same length (the first and the last ones are actually the shortest) so who knows how long the entire Wano arc will last. Anyway I love this structure
And hope the intermissions (besides the breaks) are at the Reverie because we need to know more about those cliffhangers from every chapter of that arc. Also, would like to know some girly, princesses gossip.

plot armor suggests no in-verse logical reason for the protags survival, as the yonkou have experience turning former enemies into allies, kaidou has a reason to try to convert luffy instead of simply killing him. also, we have examples of this from the yonkou you didn't mention too, ace tried to kill wb but wb decided he wanted to make ace the PK, shanks tried to recruit marco, and BB tried to recruit ace.

Hi Sawyer, about that huge door beneath Oden Castle: I am pretty sure that is the entrance to the paradise farm, from where Speed's Treasure ship convoy started. It was stated that the farm is located in the inner part of the Bakura district and when Speed is setting out with the provisions you can see a giant door opening up in the background to let the treasure ship through (see chapter 917, on the page she was introduced). At first I though it would not make any sense, since the farm seems to have sunlight, whereas the gates supposedly lead into the mountain, but now in 924 we got a better perspective and can see, that the front part of the mountain facing towards the city center actually contains a huge valley allowing for sunlight to shine in; the valley being the paradise farm then.

Knock Out Tyson he was actually pretty peeved. CQH is pretty uncommon as even admirals and whiteboard himself was shocked that pre-time skip luffy had it. Those with that kind of haki are often times lethal. Which is probably why kaido wants luffy on his crew.
Regarding the emperor's trying to recruit strong crew members is also demonstrated by WhiteBeard who recruited Ace when Ace's goal was to defeat Whitebeard. Red Hair also also joked with Marco about getting him to join his crew as well despite Marco clearly being annoyed with Red Hair. I just wanted to add some more examples to the list of times that emperors prefer to convert enemies to their side as opposed to defeating them in combat.

the cloth with the devil fruit print is actually a pattern that's been in manga since the 70s and 80s, and it's typically associated with thieves. whenever you have sneaky guys or thieves in action you see them wearing this over their head and tied right under their nose, with the eyes and mouth area exposed. the devil fruits' pattern themselves are similar to this, and the way oda's been dropping old school japanese references all over this arc, i think there may be some strong connection to kaido and blackbeard who are both "stealing" devil fruits

plot armor suggests no in-verse logical reason for the protags survival, as the yonkou have experience turning former enemies into allies, kaidou has a reason to try to convert luffy instead of simply killing him. also, we have examples of this from the yonkou you didn't mention too, ace tried to kill wb but wb decided he wanted to make ace the PK, shanks tried to recruit marco, and BB tried to recruit ace.

about that huge door beneath Oden Castle: I am pretty sure that is the entrance to the paradise farm, from where Speed's Treasure ship convoy started. It was stated that the farm is located in the inner part of the Bakura district and when Speed is setting out with the provisions you can see a giant door opening up in the background to let the treasure ship through (see chapter 917, on the page she was introduced). At first I though it would not make any sense, since the farm seems to have sunlight, whereas the gates supposedly lead into the mountain, but now in 924 we got a better perspective and can see, that the front part of the mountain facing towards the city center actually contains a huge valley allowing for sunlight to shine in; the valley being the paradise farm then.

Regarding the emperor's trying to recruit strong crew members is also demonstrated by WhiteBeard who recruited Ace when Ace's goal was to defeat Whitebeard. Red Hair also also joked with Marco about getting him to join his crew as well despite Marco clearly being annoyed with Red Hair. I just wanted to add some more examples to the list of times that emperors prefer to convert enemies to their side as opposed to defeating them in combat.

the cloth with the devil fruit print is actually a pattern that's been in manga since the 70s and 80s, and it's typically associated with thieves. whenever you have sneaky guys or thieves in action you see them wearing this over their head and tied right under their nose, with the eyes and mouth area exposed. the devil fruits' pattern themselves are similar to this, and the way oda's been dropping old school japanese references all over this arc, i think there may be some strong connection to kaido and blackbeard who are both "stealing" devil fruits
