(TAS) Mario Party 3 - Deep Bloober Sea

- This is my Tool-Assisted Superplay for Mario Party 3 - Deep Bloober Sea. In this TAS, Yoshi gets 999 coins during the first turn and then buys a bunch of stars by manipulating his luck and screwing over the CPU players.
Tool-Assisted means I played the game frame-by-frame and used save states allowing me to redo certain parts of the game until each part is perfect. An example of this is creating a save state before I hit my dice, then reloading the save state over and over until I get the number I want, doing this allows me to pick which spaces I land on and also allows me to roll a triple 7 or triple 10 so I can get coins and move loads of spaces.
I pause the game often so I can manipulate RNG to control the luck of the game. This allows me to control what numbers the CPU players roll on their dice, what items we get and which minigames are selected. - เกม
Fun fact: if the coin limit wasen't 999 then Yoshi would have gotten 1600 coins from the game guy minigame.

Never knew that the first space could become a junction if players happen to possess reverse movement while on start. That's extremely obscure.
it makes me feel better that, even with a TAS, boo can still steal 18 coins

@@DJEevee257 thats.... going to not really be possible. as a TAS is going to end up "manipulating" them as it always starts from the same state and does the same actions and such forth rng goes the same.

I have an idea: Unless you already have, do a Mario Party 3 TAS where you obtain a Wacky Watch on the first turn, then use it on the second turn.

random question: how much do you plan ahead when you make these? do you plan every single item, move, event, etc or do you just go "oh, DK got a warp block, i can work with this"?
I always plan ahead each turn just so I know what the best moves are for getting more stars. The warp blocks really came in handy this TAS so I made sure the CPU players often had them so they could warp me closer to the star and then I can just use a mushroom and get 2 or 3 stars each turn.
@@BeastlyN64don’t you think you could let CPUs get stars to steal them with boos or to get a wacky watch or two to extend the game to get to 99 stars? It would be very fun to watch. Anyway, great video!

@BeastlyN64 why not make another MP3 TAS that abuses the reverse mushroom?
as in you use the reverse mushroom to get to Boo and keep on stealing stars from opponents instead of buying stars yourself
and you can also make it so you land on hidden blocks as well
That could be a fun idea for a TAS! Only using the reverse mushroom each turn. It was such a cool item, wish more of the games had it.

Why not Mario Party Superstars?
I would love to TAS Mario Party Superstars but Switch TAS tools are lacking features. I don't even think save stating is an option which is needed for these to be possible.
