I think it's an intelligent cut that can automatically "seamlessly" cut two clips together, it just accidentally moved part of the fretboard when he moved his arm
The Red Panda Raster is an amazing pedal. You can use it as a chorus, phaser straight up delay, tremolo, plus all kinds of weird stuff. Hasn't left my board since I got it about 4 years ago.
