    I have a 2009 Versa (34K) and love it. I'm a big guy and fit with room to spare. One thing I don't understand is why some worry about acceleration. I never have a problem getting on the highway because I assess the situation, and drive accordingly. The new ones are beautiful! I just might treat myself to a new one!

    local Indiana dealers have a mark up on any versa. SV sticker 16,800 and want 21,000 out the door.....Ummm no! We bought a 2017 brand new S 5speed with air $10,900 put 61,000 miles traded it in 2020 gave us $8700 trade on a 2021 SR paid sticker of course during covid. 3 year low interest loan and almost paid off now. As a side note the 5 speed is great around town, but sucks on the interstate 4000 rpm at 80 mph is ridiculous. The missed thing is a 6 speed.

  • @michaelsheedy
    @michaelsheedy ปีที่แล้ว +12

    Whether you have 700 hp or 150 hp, you aren't getting anywhere faster in most situations save for road courses and drag strips.

    Nissan missed an opportunity to have something really special by not offering the 5 speed manual in the SR trim level.

      Just bought it last month. It’s amazing. I have the SV as I don’t need the heated seats, steering wheel, or remote start as I live in Florida. Plus I prefer the blue dash that comes with my Gray sky pearl color over the red stitching on black on all SRs. Hope you enjoy it! It’s great!

    The versa is decent basic, reliable, affordable transportation, as long as you are not in a hurry.
    Great for driving in the city, but the small fuel tank should be increased to at least 14-15 gallons in my opinion.
    Also, they need to make fog lights an option.
    They are available with fog lights in Canada, but not in the United States. Why?

    • @RayRayP2001
      @RayRayP2001 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      They were available with fog lights for the 20 and 21 models only in the us. I think it was a parts shortage as to why.

    Pretty fancy, for a econo box? Never saw the point of a fully loaded entry level brand vehicle. Would personally rather get the base model of the next model up?

    • @braetonwilson4296
      @braetonwilson4296 ปีที่แล้ว +11

      Well some of us prefer smaller vehicle because they're more fun to drive, handle better, and are easier to park. For example, I could win the lottery but I would still choose a Corolla over a bigger Camry/RAV4.

    It's a solid, well packaged car for a decent price. I'm super impressed with it. However, the CVT still scares me. While they perform better now than they did before, maybe they have changed in terms of reliability in recent years?

    • @chinoyhouse8247
      @chinoyhouse8247 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      I think the CVT won’t be a problem when you buy the car new. I believe they had extended the warranty on those. Just make sure to change the fluid earlier than recommended if you want it as a keeper long term. It’s a great car!

    • @Nemi9
      @Nemi9 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Change the cvt fluid at least once before the recommended mileage. Doing that to my Nissan Versa equivalent, the Nissan Almera 3cylinder 1.0l Turbo in Malaysia. No way I'm only changing it at the recommended milleage

    they're sweet little rides! i lucked out and got the first one to drop in the Dallas TX area over the New Yrs weekend, a black SR. pretty decent sound system too, it's gotta be a Bose, just doesn't say, like some other top trim Nissan models. i love running errands in the little thing, so fun to drive. just a shame a lot of dealers can't get them in for some reason. i think our local dealer got like one only this year, so far.. was a silver SV, and lasted like 2 days, gone! ☮

    Just bought a 2024 S manual for $17,410 out the door . The extra doo dads and colorful seats aren’t worth 4k more. The gearing on the manual is a little high but I like the price and simplicity over the cvt. It feels solidly built . We’ll see how much French influence there is but it feels Japanese . With very careful maintenance I think 200 something is possible .

    Here’s my thought. It’s $1500 too expensive. It’s not a bad car but when stacked up against chevy’s new trax that releases soon it just doesn’t make sense. The price point doesn’t make sense. Also there’s a lot of talk about Hyundai and Kia releasing revisions of the rio and accent people are just wondering if they will come to US if they do then the versa is gonna have stiff competition.

    • @ytr3488
      @ytr3488 ปีที่แล้ว

      That's your ignorant opinion. hyundai discontinued the accent.. Get out from under your rock kid.
      The Chevy traxs LOL. Enjoy your oil leaks, transmission problems, and a huge plethora of other problems that plague this sad excuse for an automobile.

      We can get lots of snow, so we preferred something with AWD. We already have a minivan, so didn't need the CX-5. Ended up getting a CX-30.
