    Wesley Snipes deserved more credit for his performance as Blade.
    You see other actors get tons of praise for putting in the work in action films, but Snipes was overlooked.
    It takes a lot of hard work to execute convincing action and hand to hand fight sequences without resorting to camera tricks and stunt doubles.
    Few actors can pull it off.

      Snipes has experience training in various martial arts so it makes lots of sense. You can see his commitment to the role in this film and the next (not so much Blade: Trinity but there are reasons for that).

    Counter-point to Stephen Dorff: his character was supposed to be a bit whiny and pretentious, him taking down the various Vampire families was all done from the point of view of a relative "kid" in the vampire world. If his character was played differently, he may seem more "intimidating" but his motivations would have almost been lost and seemed more tacked on.

    Wesley Snipes got one of the most undeserved, enduring and vicious behind the scenes hit jobs in modern cinematic history with Blade Trinity. This post motivated me to look up behind the scenes for Trinity, and while some of it may be undeserved, he apparently didn't do himself any favors. It was a fubar in general, so it's unsurprising it was a bad movie. I wish they'd used the original plot idea, for starters.

    Blade is one of the most underrated superhero movies of all time. Thee sheer dedication of Wesley Snipes to make this movie happen should alone tell you how much effort was put into making it. And this was all BEFORE superhero movies were popular or a bankable investment. Kudos to the entire production team to stick to their guns and pull through.

    Wesley Snipes actually wanted to do Black Panther back in the '90's. Right after Burton's Batman Returns, he met with John Singleton and actually got a story and some storyboard art done. However, this was pre-CGI and the effects needed to pull off Wankanda on screen at that time would've bankrupted any studio. He then focused on Blade and I think he made the right choice.

      @@rickylovesyou Actually, he was planning to film Black Panther back in 1992. Sony had the movie rights and it was announced by the studio that Snipes would play the Black Panther. One of the reasons why it was never filmed at the time was due to the script. And the first director attached to the movie was a white guy called Terry Hayes, who wrote Mad Max 2. This was before John Singleton was involved with the project.

      @Shaka Bono One man's meat is another man's poison. That's your prerogative. No one cares what you think. You obviously don't understand what the film was about. There's a reason why it was nominated for an Oscar. It has something more profound to say about the Black man's experience. Something you wouldn't understand. I guess you were looking for story that was more to your liking : infantile and people punching themselves senseless.

    • @oluapampa5075
      @oluapampa5075 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Shaka Bono Like I said previously, its a matter of opinion. There's a reason why Black Panther made over a billion dollars at the box office and was nominated at the Oscar. Despite the CGI, which is the least important aspect of the film. Its the characters and storyline that's important. And it resonated with its audience. Something that you can't comprehend.
