The only naturally occurring holmium on fulgora (other than scrap) are these rocks called 'fulgorite' scattered around - they look like weird rock tendrils or branches - that if you're ever running really low you can grab some for a quick boost, but yeah you can't mine it properly anywhere
If you hold shift when placing something it'll put space platform or landfill under whatever you are placing. If you hold shift+control it'll mark everything under it for destruction as well
Steam engines and turbines both share the same ... idk, clock rate? Whatever percentage the turbines are running at, steam engines will run at the same. So if steam engines have steam available and a turbine is spinning up, the steam engine will, as well, whether or not the turbine is sufficient. You might consider wiring an accumulator to the boiler inserters to ensure the steam engines don't run unnecessarily. Alternatively, keep a solar farm around. I decommission my steam engines the moment I get nuclear up, but I keep the solar power around just in case.

Everyone being off on another planet and unable to do anything about the impending power disaster was amazing.

Wait wait...at the beginning...how are you running out of low density structures of Fulgora?
It's part on stage one scrap recycling.....
