Whitney didn't sound girly compared to Maria Callas, the thing is Maria use very low larynx because that's the main technique of an opera singer while Whitney is Pop, R&B, and gospel singer. So Whitney's larynx is not as low as Maria Callas when singing with head voice. That's why Whitney didn't sound as deep as Maria Callas.

She started piano then glided into niente or if not an insanely quiet pianissimo, then came back with a sforzando and then finished on a piano again, all while doing a complex melisma………..I’ve literally never heard anyone do this before 😳 and the second clip is one of the most fastest staccatissimos I’ve ever heard.
