That one dislike must have been a road biker
Great Vid and some scorching trails 🔥 🚲
Awesome video guys! Any chance you have a Maydena vid similar waiting to go up? Got my bux party down there in November and super keen for your reviews on trails and recommendations while down there 🤙🏻
More videos like this please!
Can't wait! 3 weeks to go before I get to check this place out.
hey mate,
how was it?
how much you spent around? I'm planning to fly or drive there from Sydney.
@hudson not yet mate :)
Still on my list. I probably will go to Thredbo first.
I know everyone loves to film the jumps and features on the black trails, but how are the greens and blues for us mere mortals travelling with keen but not super talented kids?
I went in the winter and all but "return to sender" DH trails were closed. The miniature town was dead, I didnt see a single person the whole day. The drive to Launceston is interesting, some tight switchbacks and cliff edge in places which is a bit hairy when trucks or buses come the other way. I agree, need a posse and a few days there. Lots of xc tracks. Go in Autumn or Spring...
incorrect and misleading comment..
The only trail in the network that was closed this winter was Blue Tier.. which is closed annually .. I live here and rode all winter. It's most certainly a year round riding destination
@@premiummtb5024 Sorry, It was last year, August 2017, I have even posted videos whilst I was there. I drove from Sydney specifically to ride Derby. I only did one day due to the trails being closed, perhaps more rain than usual. They were wet and potentially dangerous. I did travel around Tassie whilst there as I stayed for 9 nights. If the trails were open I would have done 3 days but we cant control the weather, just better odds in Autumn or spring as we all know how hot our summers can get..
@@midlifebiker7424 arh roger mate.. Yeah things have improved heaps now with the trails weathered in nicely and the drainage world trail do is awesome
@@premiummtb5024 I hope it takes off for the area as I can see the effort that has gone in. I rode myself to exhaustion. You are lucky to have it on your doorstep...enjoy 😉
@@midlifebiker7424 yeah mate.. Have another heap of tracks opening next month bringing the total to 110km of single track and then work starts on the st Helens network.. Lots more stuff happening all over Tassie.. Exciting times mate
Can you change the name of the video to Vertigo MTB Advertisement - Derby Tasmania? There's other quality operators in Derby that offer better service.
its a really good video
Fast and good product
Looks pretty sweet
Someone Please tell me they have DH tracks??
They have downhill tracks
Can you bring a downhill bike?
hudson banned? Why?
What about equipment? Can I do Derby on my 120mm travel Camber? Do I need a long travel bike?
Of course you can, you can ride anything. Trails range from rock gardens to super smooth single trail and everything in between. It’s epic.
Must go...
If you had one choice, Derby or Rotorua?
Derby over Rotorua and Maydena.
No issues with assembly for me th-cam.com/users/postUgkxHL1v1R3NE5x4KiYfyt8dnQmyNYz7qi5L but I could see where some might benefit from using an experienced bike assembler/mechanic. I'm an older rider starting back after a 10 year break. This bike exceeds my capabilities and has been easy to get comfortable riding. I'm mostly on easy trails with almost no street riding and have not been disappointed with the performance of the bike. My fitness level is far below what I previously rode with and because of that the mileage is going on the bike slowly. While I'm losing weight slowly, the bike seems to tolerate my 220 pounds just fine. The bike has been used by several family members ranging from 5'5" - 5'9".
Wtf is this. This isn't everything I need to know about derby it's everything I need to know about vertigo.
