I would love to see you make that comparison if it is possible. Love the videos - you always knock it out of the park. Such care and attention to detail in your script. Loved it. It feels like a podcast, and I can listen or watch, and I get a great experience whichever way I do it. I have found myself going back to your Airpods max and H95 comparison so many times - not even watching it but just listening because e I loved the conversation. BTW I am still on the Momentum 3 because I simply cannot find any headphones that sound better than them. The battery life is terrible, as is the noise cancelling, but the comfort is undiminished, and the sound quality - WOW. I have HD650s, and the Momentum is such a little brother to those, and they would be like HD650s if they were closed. I get all that silky bass, and there are no highs that are not touched. The Mids are so very present and forward, but NOTHING is out of balance, and the listening experience is so immersive that I just fall into it. I listen to them when I am just going down the stairs, and even after having them for years - they make me stop in my tracks. They bring such joy. Good sound quality can bring such joy. Your collaborator had a similar experience - she was almost crying when talking about listening to maxwell on the B&W. I totally get that. The Momentum 3 does that for me. I look forward to discovering that there are better Bluetooth Noise Cancelling headphones out there - eager to try them. Again - Great stuff - Thanks for putting in the effort. Congratulations for being the only reviewer so far to pick up on the B&W Super Power! Yes, wire them in and stream hi-Rez! I have the old PX7 and WOW! It’s not just that they can stream the hi-Rez, they have a built in DAC. This makes them a BARGAIN for the price. And the sound quality is head and shoulders above their price category
Yes! The DAC is one aspect of the PX7s a lot of people are missing. It brings the headphones to a whole other level. Also makes me excited about the upcoming PX8. I have noticed that the PX7 S2 falls short of heft and punch. And the fact that its timing and balance is so good makes you want more of that. However, with more presence. So the only way to come close is using it wired!
Hahaha, we are all choosing which one to pick between px7 and momentum 3. Yesterday i was seconds away from buying px7 but went for momentum 4 ☺️. I don't want to wish I had more bass

Great rev. I'v learnd more from you then from others. However- what impressed me much- you're the very FIRST reviewer who noticed conflicting information of bluetooth version ! That's really strange that B&W can't decide ( on their web sites ) what version of BT these cans have ( 5.0 or 5.2 ) !!! And worse still is that B&W Support HAVE NOT answered for this (my ) question ( sic!). Maybe they don't know themselves 🙂By the way.. do you know what voice assistants support these headphones ? More over I still do not know if these headphones can support Google Assistant and does the voice assitant depend on the brand of phone connected to it? I have a Samsung Galaxy and Bixbi reports to me by default. EDIT: Assistent depends on what your phone has one.
Altough this is a review, watching this video was an absolute delight. One doesn't expect to be taken along on a journey when it comes to the review world and this one just feels like you are crusing along with friends, immersively discussing the PX7 S2 along the way. The production quality just blows me away. As pointed out by others in the chat, the level of detailed information available here is parallel to none, and this is just the first Impression! Px8 coming out, it's been said it be the same drivers as the S2 (PX7 version 2) with better built quality. I'm waiting for the Sennheiser Momentum 4. Because I'm giving my Beoplay H95 to a sibling outside the country whose in college and looking for a headphones. Edit: Maybe PX7 S2 🤔 Hard choice that i will have to make.
According to Digital Trends B&W said the PX8 will have different drive technology. Not sure what that all means. I have it copied below. But I will tell you this: If you like the way B&W has styled the new Px7 S2, you will love the Px8. Oh, and one more thing. Kerr did reveal one very small but very tantalizing nugget of information regarding the new top-shelf head-huggers: They will feature “a brand-new drive unit technology.”

I really enjoy and love your reviews in this vast unique style; they are not only top notch but also a step into developing a review to a piece of art itself. This is so suitable due to the fact of the assessing of headphones as an interface which gives access to art. And with music is all about art 🤗 I have waited for your analysis of the B & W PX7 S2 since they came out and I am genuinely glad that you focus much more on like they sound instead i.e. of the ANC abilities, because the sound quality should be the absolute main reason for choosing your headphones...and at least in my humble opinion next priority is the design of the headphones, also a question of art. No functions like ANC can be so good to neglecting the sound at a headphones purchase decision. Bowers & Wilkins have already announced the release of a further new model for their headphones lineup. The PX8...if I am not wrong, release could be in September. I hope you get your hands on the PX8 soon. Somehow I have the feeling, that your review and perhaps a comparison will be a crucial part of my decision for the PX7 S2 or the PX8.

I'm wondering if this is only me or someone has same, After using PX8 and PX7 S2 for few month now, I personally prefer sound quality (signature) of px7 S2. They are more pleasant to listen (for my taste).
Ahh! That’s an interesting observation. I see how this is very possible. The PX7 s2 hit a certain sweet spot between smooth, calm listening and well-timed frequency. Bass is bass, even when it’s not punchy. That said, you will only prefer its signature to that of PX8 if the PX7 S2 is made for someone like you. In other words, you will not need the extra hard-hitting output of the PX8. But this does not necessarily mean that the S2 is better. It’s just that the PX8 is not your vibe in the first place. I think one of the misconceptions in reviewing these two headphones is to forget that just because the PX8 is the more expensive one, it does not mean it makes the PX7s2 an inferior choice. Not at all! The company must have also thought of giving them their specific user niche.
@@CarefulOptimist completely agree, sound impression and expectation is totally subjective and we should not make statements which headphones are better or worse, we should think which are best for "myself". I have still both pairs and definitely will do more AB tests :)
@@CarefulOptimistSo I actually was curious, majority of the people was commenting that it is impossible that I was disappointment with PX8, and in fact they were right. It turned out, that I had a faulty pair of headphones. I have tried a new pair to listen songs I know and boy, that was a difference. No harsh tones, more clear bass and no distortions even while listening loud. Apart of that they are very loud while connected via usb-c to iPhone or PC. Day and night listening.
