Such a great video. Just what I was looking for traveling with kids and elderly parents. Took a note. Thank you 😊 so much. Such a beautiful family with bunch of giggles. It's exactly what I am hoping for.
Next time, I highly recommend visiting the Aspen area - specifically Maroon Bells. Great views and several family friendly trails. Also, there is the Rio Grande bike trail that runs all the way to Glenwood Springs (40 miles) - so worth doing once your kids are a bit older.
How beautiful Colorado is and what a sweet and special family you have! I enjoyed every minute of this video and if I were planning a trip to Colorado I would want to see everything you went to as well.
Love the new clip as well. The family time playing the sandboard, the beautiful scenery of the fall and the lake, both of the parts are amazing!! Can't wait to give a try
Thanks for touring sites in the southern half of the State. Another trip, will be hotter, Bent's Fort in La Junta, Picture Canyon, Camp Amache, Sand Creek Massacre Historic Site, Beecher Island near Wray, Old Town in Burlington, and do much to see in our State!! Mount Princeton Hot Springs near Salida too and get in some fishing.
Thanks for sharing this! Planning my family's first CO trip for this spring and I think I'm going to write down your exact itinerary! You hit everything that we'd like to see.😀
@@ActivelyFamily we've never been! Planning to take my 2 and 5 year old this Easter! Going to do half Colorado and half south Dakota! Do you have any thing you think we shouldn't miss, or anything not worth visiting?
Yay I’m so happy you posted this video! Your family trip video of Yosemite inspired us to do a similar trip recently. Thank you for sharing your journeys with everyone, I love watching them! This now totally makes me want to take our family to Colorado! 🤗👏🏔
@@ActivelyFamily we'll be heading from Moab, Utah up to Yellowstone via Colorado for the next trip. The plan is to stop at Black River Canyons Wilderness Area and then Rifle Falls on the way to Meeker and Browns Park National Wildlife Refuge before we cross into Wyoming. I'd love to get back to the Gunnison area again though, it's been nearly 15 years.
This is inspiring! I have never been to the mountains or ever seen a forest like that. We are trying to plan a trip to Colorado in June and have no idea where to start not where to stay. We’re thinking airbnb. How far apart was everything from each other? I’d definitely do the Rocky Mountain NF. My husband isn’t a fam of sand ao we wouldn’t do the sand dunes. We want mountains and views, beautiful hikes, wildlife, waterfalls and lakes and swimming spots. My husband will want to fish too. Any advice for a very first time trip for a family with a 2yo boy? I have a hiking carrier like you have to carry my son in. My son is a handful and fearless.
Hi. You are going to love Colorado. From Colorado Springs to Rocky Mountain NP is about 2 1/2 hours. If you can handle that long of a road trip I suggest it. Otherwise there is plenty to do just staying in Estes Park.
Thanks for sharing. How many days total was this trip? We just got back from our Oahu family vacay and a big thanks to you the the trip was awesome. I guess we’re going to Colorado next. 🎉
We stayed in Colorado Springs for 3 nights and then drove to Estes Park (near Rocky Mountain NP) and stayed at the YMCA of the Rockies. Tons of hotel options in both cities.
Great video. I am planning to visit there with my 5 year old. We were about to skip hiking a around bear lake, but seeing your kids doing motivated me to go for it. Do we need a timed entry pass to do the hiking s around bear lake?
Hi. From the info I found online Rickey Mountain NP is still doing a timed entry system depending on when you are going. www.nps.gov/romo/planyourvisit/timed-entry-permit-system.htm Bear Lake is a fun, easy walk.
I love that you both take your kids on these trips. More families need to get their kids outdoors and exploring. Don't be afraid just do
Thanks for your comment. We agree. Taking the whole family along is definitely more work, but the memories made are invaluable.
We just went to Italy for two weeks with my 5 year old and he had an absolute blast

You have a beautiful family. I live in Colorado and still need to do some of this stuff with my family. Thanks for sharing
I am sure you could add more idea to the list of what to do in Colorado. We can’t wait to go back. Such a beautiful state!
Thank you so much I’m going next week with my baby girl she’s 5 and my son who’s 15 this helps me plan so much
I hope you have the best time. Glad you found the video helpful.
Emerald Lake is one of my favorite places on this planet!
We weren’t prepared for how beautiful it was.

Hi. We started our trip June 12th and we’re back home by the 21st. This was in 2021.
How old was Issac when you guys visited Colorado ? I have 2.5 yrs boy, planning to make a trip there
Thanks
Did you guys carry any bear spray? Are there any bears in Rocky Mountain trails that you guys visited?
We didn’t have any issues with bears.
Great video. Hoping to do some of these this April. Where do you recommend staying near all these places?

At what time you guys notice that she wasn’t wearing her sit belts??
If only my kids buckled up right away after being asked the first time. 😆
I feel the same way!! 😂
😂😂😂😂
Absolutely not a beaver. Please identify the animal correctly for your children.
What animal was it?
@@ActivelyFamily Well, let’s start by looking at the tail. It has hair on his tail, not a flat paddle to smack the water with.
