    Mooi, dat oppent mogelijkheden voor kleine projectjes.
    Het viel mij op dat je redelijk veel brandsporen maakte. Dat lijken mij de sporen van een cross-cut zaagblad na het schulpen ("rippen"). Moest je nog geen schulp-zaagblad gebruiken voor het schulpen, dan is dat zeker een aanrader. Een panther zaagblad schulpt door tropisch hardhout alsof het er niet is.

    • @christofix
      @christofix  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hoi Nico, dit gaat inderdaad veel mogelijkheden openen voor mij. Dat heb je inderdaad goed gezien, binnen kort ( nog een klein beetje sparen) ga ik investeren in een paar zaagbladen. Dit is een universeel zaagblad, waar ik eigenlijk al bij al heel tevreden van ben.
      Bedankt voor jouw toffe reactie.
      Groetjes

  • @kellyperry7745

    My fence has bolt heads on the top. Will the jig work if I leave clearance for the bolt heads on the cross piece for the hooks? I'm thinking the weight of the jig and wood is enough to keep the jig on the surface of the saw table.

    • @christofix
      @christofix  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi, Kelly Perry. I think it will work if you leave that clearance. You can work around those bolt heads and make this jig work for your fence. Thank you for watching, and see you later. Greetings, Christophe

    • @kellyperry7745
      @kellyperry7745 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I've thought about it and I'm going to double the length of the hook which drops over the fence. this should compensate for the extra added clearance for the bolt heads.
      Or I can make a new fence....

    Christo, what size is that table saw blade?
    12"?
    And thank you!

    • @christofix
      @christofix  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The saw blade has a diameter of 260 mm. If I converted this to inches it would be 10.23 inches. Is this correct?
      Thank you for watching my friend.

    • @christofix
      @christofix  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi there,
      I’m really sorry to hear that you’ve encountered issues trying to access the plans. Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances, the automatic system we were using to distribute these plans is no longer available. This has affected the delivery of the plans to your email, and to make matters more complicated, I no longer have access to the original plans due to a loss of data caused by a computer crash.
      I understand how frustrating this must be, especially after you’ve tried with multiple email addresses. I'm currently in the process of updating the information on all my videos and blog posts to reflect this change and prevent any future confusion.
      I deeply apologize for the inconvenience and disappointment this may have caused. I’m grateful for your interest and for taking the time to reach out. If there’s any other way I can assist or if you have further questions, please let me know.
      Thank you for your understanding and support.
      Best regards,
      Christophe

    lots of burn marks, tho. what's the best way to avoid those?

    • @christofix
      @christofix  ปีที่แล้ว

      I think making smaller and slower passes will help.

  • @eitantal726
    @eitantal726 ปีที่แล้ว

    7:20 On this pass, you only use one pushstick, but on the second pass at 7:28 you use a second, specialized pushstick that I've never seen before. Is the purpose to prevent kickback? Why is needed now but not before? Also, the specialized pushstick appears to be pinching the blade by the end?

    • @christofix
      @christofix  ปีที่แล้ว

      I use the second one to have more control over the cut-off.

  • @eitantal726
    @eitantal726 ปีที่แล้ว

    Note that this design is for blades that can do 4" deep cuts! Your typical 10" saw blade can only give you between 3" and 3.5". (Mine gives me 3.25") You will need to adjust the plans to fit your saw!

    Why no riving knife?

    • @christofix
      @christofix  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It has been bent since I bought my table saw and I hardly ever cut long sheets, so the danger of kickback is minimal. In my case, using a riving knife is more dangerous than not using one.

  • @eitantal726
    @eitantal726 ปีที่แล้ว

    2:30 Plans don't specify this drill bit diameter. I'm guessing it's about 7mm

    • @christofix
      @christofix  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      For what I can remember, I guess it was 10 mm. That way I had some space to move that part over the bolts.
