I have had a Philips series 3000 wet/dry rotary shaver for 2 and half years now, I only use "dry shave" (with pre-electric shaving lotion before each shave), and the results have been great with this shaver, it gives me close, clean, smooth and irritation-redness free shaves every time; I am to give it a try in the "wet foam", with some shaving gel, and then will compare with the "dry shave", to see which one can be better.
@@AmmarSaeed-n8b You have two good choices: PHILIPS Series 3000 wet/dry rotary rechargeable shaver and BRAUN Series 3000 wet/dry foil rechargeable shaver, for every day or every other day and sensitive skin the BRAUN is a better choice, for shaving just 2-3 times per week and you have coarse/thick hair, the PHILIPS is the right one for you.
Can you answer a question please? Should the guards rotate or just the blades inside? With mine, the guards remain stationary. Is it working correctly?
@@jungtheforeman1 The "guards" (also called combs in some cases), must remain still, the only parts moving in the shaver head are blades (rotating under the guards =combs), if they all turn, you must get new blades = for rotary shaver
Hey its like rockgrinder said. Also Thanks for that m8. The guards remain in place. The actual blades underneath it rotate in order to shave the beard off.
I ordered the Phillips 3000 shaver and pleased with this product. What I find is I can't charge it !! tried several times, Can someone help ? Tried looking at Utube but charging was not mentioned. Thanks
You can´t charge it?! Like what happens when you plug the power cord in? Nothing? If so, it sounds to me like its a faulty product. Have you tried out to reach to Philips customer support yet?
My X3001/00 has no battery charge indicator, so I never know exactly if I can finish shaving. I always have to remember to recharge it before it's too late)
in this case, buy a second shaver (try a Braun foil shaver) as a backup if your Philip shaver runs out of power, I have both Braun series 3 330 dry foil mains/rechargeable shavers, in case my Philips stops for lack of power ........ today for the first time, I used my Philps 3000 wet/dry rotary shaver in the "wet mode", with shaving gel ............ !wow!!! I never expected a clean, smooth, close and very clean shave with the Philips rotary shave using shaving gel and water...... as normally I just "dry shave" splashing some "pre-electric lotion" before each shave, and the results have been wonderful all the time I use the shaver in this dry shave mode. Still, today I got some "Gillette sensitive shaving gel" and the results just were so good that I will use this Philips 3000 wet/dry shaver just on the wet shaving mode and I will keep the Braun 3 330 dry foil shaver just with the pre-electric lotion for a backup.....
Hmm would be too tedious for me if I´m honest with you. I´d rather just trim my hair with a hairclipper and then do a wet shave. Or get something like a skullshaver.
Bro listen to me , about the hair remaining if you trim your long hair and then wash them out with warm water and let your sking dry for a few moments or with a towel after its when you start using the shaver so it goes well in your skin thats its job ids .....
Sir I'm from India, please help to buy I have only 2 options available here 3000 and 5000 series(currently in India 5000 is out of stock). Sir according to you which one give close shave and run smoothly in dry ? So should I wait for 5000 ? Please help me....
give a try to the Philips 3000 rotary wet/dry shaver, you can use it in "dry mode" but get a pre-electric lotion so you can get a much closer, smoother and cleaner shave with "0" irritation, or if you prefer, give it a go with foam, gel or shaving oil that also can be used as a pre-electric shaving oil, you won't regret it.
The old design is still the best. I bought a series 5000 and it was awful. Too much plastic surrounding the shaving heads and it dragged...in the 90s I had a philishave which came in 3 colours ( mine was brown) and it was excellent.

It would work, but it´ll take a while until you get a smooth result

it is a decent shaver ...
Pretty good with foam , not so good dry.
yeah. this one is definetly not the best one. its cheap, thats at least something.😅
No mains operation? That's a major drawback.
Yeah :(
