There was a bit of talk about wanting voice actors to get in on the merit of their voice acting alone in this stream, but I think it overlooks something . The ability to bring the directors intention to life. People skills and knowing what the project leader wants is perhaps even more important than acting ability. Getting on wavelength with the project and really delivering what is wanted is peak.
The bleach house issue was very, very, very likely done for racial reasons. i extremely doubt it was "just a mistake". they intentionally wanted to replace her because they didnt like her "not looking like the character". There is no way in hell they picked the other girl over the first VA "just because". the patterns, behaviors, mindsets of all these dubbing studios and VA circles constantly love to push their toxic ideology onto each other and change their industry for the worse, for the fake sake of "diversity". other than that, yeah, wendee probably should have not said the part about the, "i originated the role" line, but it didnt feel too cocky to me either.
