I really like this piece - I just don't know if I have the room for it.... I don't think the price is bad - look at the Millennium Falcon for Force Awakens - it is $119 at Walmart.... so I don't think the price is too bad.... but it is for sure not cheap! Thank goodness it has lights, but for $100 it would be nice to come with some cheap ass double AA batteries LOL

The new one that's coming out might have the improvements you're looking for but in the meantime contact DC Collectibles they might replace it or give you your money back. The price is about right. The original 1993 figures were about $5-6 each, and the Batmobile was $20. Now these new figures are about $20 each, and this sells for $85 or so on BBTS. So that is accurate pricing.

It's essentially a hollow molded shell with a few static LEDs. They could have come up with something more to do on it if they wanted to hit that price point as a fair value. It's still wonderful and all...but more like a $60 ish price value tops imho.
This "Swirling affect" you speak of is quiet common with these plastic batmobile's. I think it's to do with the manufacturing process. It's how hot plastic sets when it cools. I've seen it in most of my earlier batmobiles from the past. Doesn't bother me.

The size is great, there are lots of lights, the cockpit is amazingly detailed and accurate to the show, even the seat belts which are tricky to get on the figures look great. I mean if we want to start poking at prices everything is inflated like crazy nowadays. I feel like if it was any more than 100 I would agree more.
while the price may not be worth it, I think you should save the critical discussion about the price for the end so your not negative throughout the review

Ok. Being a plastic engineer I can tell you why those imperfections are there. It could be the type of plastics they used to mold it. It could have been the tooling. It could have been the angle of the flow of plastic to make the sharp angles and that could have been the best they can do it. I know it is your job as a reviewer to be critical but you have to understand that things in cartoons and in real life can not translate to well. Just my thoughts on it

It is pretty big, though, so I'd need to make some room to display it. I definitely want this for my collection, though. :)
