We, at least the Company I worked for back in the '70's, used to sell and service Cedarapids Crushing and Paving equipment.( today it's known as Terex-Cedarrapids ) We used to say " a crusher is a machine into which you placed rock at one end, and money pours out the other!" Yes, it sure is interesting to watch all this processing going on, isn't it? Today, I could watch this stuff all day long :) Good video here Dennis, thanks for this one, it brought back memories for sure.
Never a dull video. It is always fascinating to watch heavy equipment in its element. Keep at it brother, love your vids. Getting to see machines we would likely never get to see otherwise.
Very interesting video, Dennis. Thanks! I remember when my son was the same age and we were out on our atv’s as well! Now he’s 16- enjoy the time with Dorsey because before you know it, he will be running the loader for Pop Pop!
Pretty cool operation. The rock crusher didn’t even seem to hesitate on some pretty large rocks. Dorsey getting in with Papa with his helmet on cracked me up…maybe he’s smarter than the rest of us? Lol. Thanks for the tour.
Their rock crusher seemed like it was idling half the time, and the rest of the plant was doing okay. Very strange setup. But very interesting, thank you for showing us!
@@DLHFarms I see. That did seem like a respectable pile of dirt, feeding it through the one crusher would have taken a little while. Funnily enough, the other day I wondered how that glass factory turned out and now you showed us. Was a bit sloppy ground to build a pad from.
Man that crusher just ate those rocks up maybe someday you can revisit the crusher and do like a interview of the operator and have some closer video and explain how it all works but great video
Klemann crusher, contractor in town have one of them, bit bigger. You can screen finer material out with the little conveyer on the side there. Company I'm part owner of have a mobile cone crusher and screener. Some other special crusher also, don't know the English name for them, but make cubical rocks. Sandvik crusher in Jonsson plants. We sell about 200.000 tons of crushed gravel pr year.
Archer Western had a setup like that when they resurfaced I-20 a few years ago. They started out dumping the chunks of concrete in a pit, then I guess they realized crushing it would be a more feasible option. They ended up using what they crushed as a base for the asphalt, then they poured concrete on top of the asphalt.
How much for door to door delivery? Seriously, for every yard of "screened soil" I've ever ordered from literally any landscape supplier I've ever been to, they probably dump a yard of rocks, glass, metal, plastic, rusty nails, and a dozen other things you don't want in turf grass along with the dirt. Never seen anything like it, seriously can't find anyone that delivers what is asked for anymore. I'd pay good money for anyone who could screen a couple yards like this down to about half an inch. How can we find someone who will do it?
We have had a crew there for a while but I haven’t been there much personally. I just set up the gps and I’ve been by there a couple times to work on the gps and that’s about it.
I was in Blacksburg yesterday and was wondering how you were doing with the crew. Did you finish that project at Virginia tech? And have you made it to mission BBQ yet?
IT’S THE “BIG JOB”! I’m stoked that y’all are able to be a part of the construction for multiple phases of that industrial park! The past videos that you produced of the work that y’all completed there are some of my most treasured videos! Who do the rigid-frame haul-trucks belong to? I was wondering if Haymes Brothers owns them or did they rent them to handle the blasted material? Absolutely loved the video brother! Please keep them coming and know that we appreciate them greatly! (Also, any footage of those rigid-frames, either working or not, would definitely be awesome to see!)
That conveyor is actually for taking the fine material that falls through the pre-screen before the crushing chamber. You can set it that way or the way in this video where the fines fall directly on the main conveyor going to the screen. The magnet is after the crushing chamber, up high.
Good video Dennis .reminds me of one of my favourite TV programme GOLD RUSH. You seem to have all the machinary. That looks like a big project .Did your Dad start the business up ? You have a great variation of jobs .Mike

That’s a good interpretation of a crusher 👍

yeah he is growing up so fast.
That was very interesting to watch, especially the rock crusher. Very cool video.
Glad you liked it
Your dads machine reminds me of the ones they use for gold mining. Glad to see your little guy enjoys being around equipment!
Yeah it’s similar kinda reminds me of gold too. My younger boy seems to like equipment even more than Dorsie.

I was impressed with that rock crusher too. Haha Dorsie is a smart kid maybe he does know something we don’t.
Super cool video!! Thanks 😊.

They set up a lot more stuff later but I never got to go investigate it.

Thats some amazing machinery Dennis, can't believe how fast the Rock Crusher operates, Hope you and you Family had a Great Thanksgiving 👍
Yeah it was definitely impressive!

Looks like a kleeman jaw
May be
Neat video, Dennis! Dorsey will make a good operator soon. The rock crusher outfit is fascinating, bet it cost a tidy sum.
Yeah those crushes are probably close to a million.

Good morning Dennis! I always enjoy videos about big machinery in operation. Any idea when your involvement in the new site will begin?
We have had a crew there for a while but I haven’t been there much personally. I just set up the gps and I’ve been by there a couple times to work on the gps and that’s about it.
@@DLHFarms So you will not be involved in machine operating on this job?
I was in Blacksburg yesterday and was wondering how you were doing with the crew. Did you finish that project at Virginia tech? And have you made it to mission BBQ yet?
We still have a lot to do over there but we aren’t currently working there.
Nice one Dennis
Thanks
Those McCloskey machines are made in Ireland
Is this screen gravel
We run a Fintec 540 vibratory screening plant to screen topsoil
👍

I’m pretty sure those belong to Haymes brothers. So glad you enjoyed the “big job” videos
Usually the conveyors coming out the side of rock crushers are for steel
That’s what I thought probably for when crushing concrete
That conveyor is actually for taking the fine material that falls through the pre-screen before the crushing chamber. You can set it that way or the way in this video where the fines fall directly on the main conveyor going to the screen. The magnet is after the crushing chamber, up high.
So what are y'all doing with all the gold screenings lol?
Haha we don’t show that part.
Great video Dennis. Dorsey is growing up fast. Did Shannon like her new 4- wheeler?
Yes she loves it.
Good video Dennis .reminds me of one of my favourite TV programme GOLD RUSH. You seem to have all the machinary.
That looks like a big project .Did your Dad start the business up ? You have a great variation of jobs .Mike
Yes my dad was a dairy farmer and started doing backhoe work on the side and it turned into a very successful company.
The small conveyor on the side of the crusher is for fines. Probably shut off because of the amount of dirt they are running.
Thanks!
man i thought you trying out for gold rush show
How many squares did you make this year?
About 10,000 including the straw.
About 10,000 including the straw.
About 10,000 including the straw.
It's a jaw crusher not sure of the make.
Its a jaw crusher
Hello there bud. Hope all is well.
👍👍
Can you bring me 2 loads of 3/4" run. Have a great day
Not any for sale yet
@@DLHFarms long ways to bring 2 loads lol
