On my 1987 Chevy Celebrity , the reason that it tore was that I didn't replace the torque strut when it was worn . It caused the engine to move when accelerating . Good information .
Omg I've been googling, reading and watching videos trying to figure out what's wrong with my car. It's been down for 2 months! Started jerking and didn't want to accelerate. I have a 2008 nissan altima with the cvt so transmission was my first thought. I hoped it was stuck calipers...nope. Then I replaced left cv axle, changed trans filters and cvt fluid...nope. I was up all night reading forums etc. I made a list of anything it could be other than the transmission. I'm a girl and I do all the work on my car myself just from watching TH-cam. Anyways, I found 2 rips in my air intake tube earlier today and the throttle body is pretty dirty. I just found your video and the symptoms you were talking about sound exactly like what my car is doing. Nothing else I've read or watched has done that! I hope that's what the problem is. Thank you for making videos. I love the way you explain everything. I subscribed!
@@prismclarity4151 No it didn't. I found a cracked coil pack that was bad and a broken connector on a different one. My plugs were pretty bad too. I replaced the coil packs, the broken connector and cleaned the plugs really good. I'm actually sitting in my car right now cuz I just got done and tried it out. It's still doing the same thing!
(Question) I can't seem to get past 80MPH, and when trying to accelerate past that speed, it makes a weird air sound (similar sound to the "party horn," which is a tube kids blow into and the horn extends itself while making a sound). I have reason to believe it could be related to air escaping from my intake valves. (Subaru WRX, 2016, Standard Transmission). No check Engine Light.
I had a friend that did not know what was wrong turn on this the part that was faulty it was ripped thanks for your videos I have learned so much
An excellent video on a topic that deserves more attention than people give it.
