Thanks for this build, I've been having great fun with it, and got the knack of it on that last mission with her and Bianca - it's amazing, just the two of them clearing the whole map with all those bosses. Still not at full level, gear and board, so I can't take it at full difficulty yet, but I've got the key mastery sets in. This may be the best Barbarian I've ever seen in any game, ever, it really roleplays the Barbarian idea incredibly well.
It's awesome! I like how they did it for sure.. also like that the 3-set Berserker set makes it so Anger Strike always hits, even against Darkness Hunter/Lightning Reflexes/Auto Dodge Mobility. Downside to the Berserker set is horrific speed though lol. Barbarian is definitely in the top 3 for most powerful class in the game, and most likely #1 hahaha. I'll be doing tiering lists soon once the final scenario comes out.
Hey man, great vid, thx so much for the inspiration! I was wondering if you knew why sometimes phoenix/heart of lunacy/second heart do trigger and sometimes not? To me it seems completely random but in roughly 50% of cases they just dont activate at all and I straight up die without it triggering even once. Also Final Resistance and Tenacious Barbarian seem to just not work sometimes? I mean if im at 20% health with a corresponding 80% DR from Tenacious Barbarian and another 50% from Final resistance, I really shouldnt be taking 600 DMG from a single hit even if the mobs have some strong masteries. Yet that happens every time when im trying to solo any given map. 5 mobs hit me and i take 1 dmg on each hit and then I randomly get hit for a thousand by mob nr.6 . I was wondering if u knew what im doing wrong? (Rage is turned on ofc). Realistically I should be sitting at 99% DR even if some ability bypasses the final resitances block (which they seem to do).
This build is like a heat seeking missile, just annihilates stuff until it dies. It really gives her that "monster" feel that the clowns always describe her with. I like using the 900 HP potion since it can heal her while keeping her in final resistance, basically tripling the duration until she dies. It feels a bit awkward though because quick shaving costs 10 rage. Almost feels like a design flaw with barbarian since the pets don't have that issue, or considering that she only has 50 speed with her berserker set maybe they really wanted you to play her with rampage. Another issue is that it will sometimes just straight die before going into final resistance. Really need to be careful to get her into overcharge on the first round she engages enemies. I also used a weapon with overcharge duration to help her survive. I guess you could use Ray to overcharge her if you just want to run her in as a meet shield. But Kylie also competes for that, lol.
Yep there's always that chance of skipping Final Resistance which can be really bad - I've updated this build since and gotten her to around 90% block and it works incredibly well, she's easily my strongest Destron killer without fail lol. The 900HP potion is very good, I would also recommend the Regen potion too, especially if you're soloing. Tends to give 400 health for 3 turns usually at all the right times depending on when you used it. Think there's a lot still to explore with Barbarian but for sure this(Wildcat Engine/Anger Strike) was the intended path the devs wanted us to use, its so incredibly powerful with her Berserker 3-set!
@@climhazzard115 This build is definitely older but mine is roughly 40% right now, 20% with rage(mandatory anyway) from Berserker piece and then Powerful Patience potion, pretty insane to see what Alisa can do. Was actually thinking of making a "best of moments" with Barbarian because there's just been so many times where she annihilated an entire team lol
I still don't know how the damage reduction work when you're low. I mean sometimes you can get smash for like 100+ hp in final resistance, sometimes you only take 1 damage.
Ya that has more to do with what your enemy will have. Some enemy units will have higher damage bonuses, attack power really doesn’t matter as much - but something like 100% bonus you exposed or abilities like 100% damage bonus from bleeding, that’s where damage really skyrockets!
Woah Tenacious Barbarian is a nuts mastery set!!! That last line kind of flew under my radar!! But if we're getting physical debuff immunity from it (which includes stuns) is it still worth going for the gold set bonus? Could a set of red Twilight Collectors or something be better? Also, Best Condition? She seems like she HATES being on max HP! Is that to help her keep up with the rest of the gang in her starting turns before her engine starts roaring?
Yeah Tenacious Barbarian is literally worth being on Barbarian just for that! Totally nuts. Totally agree with you on Best Condition actually.. the main issue is getting Barb to the fight though. Once she's in the fight she's fine. Like... lets say your team is even speed, regardless of speed. Then Alisa has to do a turn where she gains a ton of AT from Encourage, and she starts falling behind. Really the idea was getting her into combat faster but you're right in that the damage reduction from max health really isn't ideal and better suited for those characters that shouldn't be getting hit(Giselle/Heixing). Golden set is amazing for speed generally(so far Alisa getting into fight again), and on most of my melee's 15% block shred is hard to pass up, but just my recommendation! I think a lot of players just think of Golden set as veteran but I love it for the speed. Twilight Collector is always good though for sure!
Run would be better once she gets into combat. But best condition works on the turn you cast rage. I think I put wanderer in that slot since it finishes the wandering warrior mastery set.
Here's the obligatory troll comment: 37:20 how are you going to use Twilight of Pain and Best Condition at the same time? :3 Jokes aside pretty solid. I hope it got clear just how many ridiculous tools Barbarian has. Almost everything if not everything that a melee character could want. The only downside being the ramp up time which makes it a little less valuable when you want to go super fast. But for normal play it is absolutely insane. E: One little tip or fun fact or whatever is that when you're at 1HP with Immortality up you will no longer activate all the masteries that trigger on taking damage (basically everything related to Berserker). So while it is of course great to have that as a tool to not die it is not a status that you want to persist in as it will drastically limit your effectiveness.
Barbarian is nuts man, I had no idea until recently. This is part of the reason of really playing around with tons of builds, eventually you strike a gem in the rough.. but most of them are just rocks lol. That's good to know on the 1HP thing! I had wondered why she felt a bit janky whenever it did get down to that point. Something that was in the build and forgot to add into the Core Defensive Masteries was Overflowing Spirit, 50%DR while in Overcharge and she is literally always in OC. Once you get down to the 1/3 range everything becomes 1 damage with the exception of maybe Movement on Silence from Jiaozhi.. it's also part of the reason why I don't really run Immortal/Second heart. Also useful during just non-1/3 health play
Idk what happened or there might be an update but Immortality now only lasts for 1 turn. Tbh, 3 turn Immortality is super OP so I understand why they nerfed it.
Yeah thankfully they also nerfed Berserk too so Destrons don't stay Berserked 3 whole turns now, I'm really quite happy with it lol. But it has changed Barb some for sure
@@lifeofashuram-troubleshoot5868 It's a bit strange though because my barbarian gets low hp like 100-200, she triggers immortality, gets her turn, then die on her off turn because she got Immortality at the wrong time. It's definitely become a niche part of her kit instead of it being one of her strongest aspect.

I just imagine Bi standing on the rooftop, chilling, maybe take a sip at her tea while watching Alisa going town on everyone down there.
