This is genuinely one of my favourite fights in all of Transformers. The characters move so fast and with such fluidity, and the detail of the animation is gorgeous. Despite how short it is, it feels extremely intense and you feel the weight of all the hits. The strength of the music and voice acting sell it too. Loved this scene since i was a kid, and still love it now.
It helps that the entire series led up to this fight so despite being so short, it's satisfying (the gloves coming off also helps tremendously...like seriously, this is a pretty brutal fight). I really like the animation in HM, MV and Victory in general but Victory's is a cut above those.
Deszaras was the last Decepticon emperor in the G1 continuity. He's, in my opinion, the greatest leader Vs Megatron, Galvatron, Lord Zarak, Overlord or anyone else. Deszaras actually respected his troops and wanted them around as he knew without them, he wouldn't achieve the success he had. He controlled parts of the galaxy from the outside, while Megatron & the others controlled the inside. He needed a small force to do so, unlike Megatron, who needed a large army. When Megatron, Starscream, Galavtron, Lord Zarak & Overlord were finally defeated, is when Deszaras showed up. Deszaras is an extremely excellent fighter, swordsman, gunner, hand-to-hand combat, etc. He doesn't give up. He knows how to divide and conquer and when to retreat. Furthermore, he has no fear. Nothing is impossible to him. Wish Hasbro would release a toy, as they never release Deszaras in America, only in Japan.
@@Zenotron I read it's almost $200. Possibly a leader class toy. I hope it'll be worth it. Although I would like to see, in the future, they'll make a Voyager class. I know Galaxy Shuttle was recently released, and it is an Astrotrain retool.

I just found out that Star Saber's Voice Actor, Hideyuki Tanaka, is the same guy who voices Leo Aiolia and the Narrator from the Saint Seiya series, Zoffy from the Ultra series, and Donquixote Doflamingo from the One Piece anime. No wonder his voice sounds so familiar!

Actually, he did die just now. Those words "I won't die." is just him trying to comfort himself and act like a high and mighty pompous badass. In the sequel to Victory, which is called Transformers Zone, Decepticons have a new leader, a creepy looking monster guy called Violen Jiger. Who is in actuality an entity that is comprised of souls of dead Decepticons. Which ones isn't actually said, but it could be possible he might have Deszaras's soul in him. But that's just my guess.
imho Star Saber is more similar to the Zeta or ZZ Gundams that had an alternate mode of a jet/shuttle craft (or however you want to call them). The ZZ series in particular was almost a contemporary of TF Victory. The original RX-78-2 did not have an alt mode, it was just the Core Fighter forming the torso of the mobile suit, but that original Gundam was otherwise a non transformable unit. Star Saber does have an alt mode, which is that of Saber's jet fighter mode attached to the front of the V-Star.

I've never known Star Saber's missiles are called psycho missiles. Also, I've always thought that his head guns operate through his antennae, not through small holes in the helmet.
Hold a bit. Star Saber disengaged from Victory Leo earlier, so he *DID* take off his shoes (because as Victory Saber, he gets wings and a pair of nicer shoes) before fighting Deszaras / Deathzaras. Contrary to what was said at 0:10 , Star Saber *WAS* being respectful, in a weird way. **hears nothing but crickets...** I'll...see myself out now. 😅
Pity that Deszaras didn't get revenge on Hasbro for butchering his name and forcing his Japanese creator to say that it was correct when the higher ups at Takara-Tomy would gladly disagree, before he died. :D
I’ve noticed that the fansubs have used the word “kisama” quite often and never even translated to any English words it was used for like “you fool”, “damn you”, or “you bastard”. Either the translation team wasn’t very accurate or they were sometimes lazy

Alex Kai When Star Saber stab Deszaras in an earlier episode in the substation, he was in his smaller form. So the Saber Blade used was a smaller version and Deszaras was the size of a combiner so the impact of the stab wasn’t that great coz Star Saber didn’t power up. Their final battle was different. Flame's Experimentals Well it is a Japanese series released after Mobile Suit Gundam...make him pilotable and Star Saber essentially is a Gundam in terms of visual design.
Still no series that has shown the true scale of the ware exept maybe for cyberverse and g1, one where the war is in full swing with dezaras, overlord, megatron, shockwave and the others on the decepticon cousil would be good
