100% agree with you. Was in debt good part of my life. Since pandemic I got out of almost all debt. I own all my equipment and trucks from cash sales. Life is so much more peaceful with basically no debt

10 months from retirement ... we have a mortgage on one house which we be selling next spring. We drive paid for used cars and owe zero credit cards. I can't tell you how many times we counted change for gas or food. Each time we did I swore I'd never get in that predicament again. It takes the joy out of life. I hope you can make more videos on jobs you do for people. My favorite videos are people doing work with old tractors. I still enjoy the rants though. Keep up the good work.

Brock, very well spoken. It’s sooo important to live debit free. But it takes a lot of discipline. Today it’s all about instant gratification and the banks and credit card companies encourage debit. It’s hard work to live within your means. I have been fortunate to be debit free for the past 40 years.

I am a 60 year old Paramedic, working 2 jobs to pay my bills and support my farming addiction. I’m thinking of selling my 4440 and 2038 to pay stuff off , then start over again somehow .
as someone who went to college for 7 years ( undergrad an post grad) and is succesfull, debt free and 20 years out of school, I have been advising many people I know to look into the trades more and not automatically assume you need a degree like everyone thought 20 years ago. College has gotten way too expensive for kids now and the jobs don't pay well. You can get into plumbing, electrical or hvac or welding and start your own business and do way better than 70% of people with degrees
Exactly. It’s definitely not anti-education and you need that degree for some jobs. But the amount of debt people are taking from degrees that don’t help them is staggering.

Good points! So many live beyond their means and in the present, with no thought to even the near future. Just because you can make a monthly payment with who knows how much interest does not make it a good idea.

There should be class in school on how to budget. People spend their whole paycheck on this extravagance and that extravagance and never put even $1 in a savings account. Pay yourself first, at least 10% of every paycheck, you'll be glad you did!
In Australia at least it is very difficult in 2024 to start from nothing. The main difficulty is the massive price of real estate whether buying or renting. It really doesn’t matter whether you are in the city or country. If you don’t have a budge of half a million dollars you won’t be able to buy into the bottom end of the market. People take on millions of dollars of debt while on very median incomes. They have no choice as renting will cost well over a thousand dollars a week. I’m glad when I was renting it cost around $150 a week to rent a decent place. I’m also glad I bought a few properties when they were cheaper and I could build up capital to pay off debt and be free. I really do not know how you can get ahead if half your income is taxed and a forty percent goes to putting a roof over your head.
One candidate is telling us to hate half of Americans that don't agree with our political views. I believe that most people have good intentions and choose to love everyone, despite disagreeing about politics. Didn't Jesus tell us to do the same?

Yes, I could probably make more more investing some money rather than paying 100% cash for everything but at the end of the day, it's all ours. We don't owe nobody anything except God.
