Many comments are seen saying that their mint stem is not rooting . There can be 2 possibilities :
    1) the roots will develop only from the nodes . Mint leaves have long internodes . Internode is the area between two nodes . Nodes are those Points from where the leaves are present .
While removing the leaves care must be taken not to damage the nodal area .
Yes, remove all leaves except for a leaf or two and the length of the stem is 6" ( length of your palm ) so that energy is saved for firm rooting
    2) the mint stems are too tender . That is too young .
You can directly plant it in the pot / ground . Soil must be sprinkled with water to ensure that the soil is damp and not clogging with water. Water must drain out well .

      Hi,
My mint was doing extremely well in water, but when I put that in soil, it died after 2 days, please tell me where I am going wrong..

    • @cvs4131
      @cvs4131 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

@@bhartisadhwani1626 till good root system is developed and fresh leaves appear , it must bd kept away from direct sunlight. It can be in a place of bright light but not direct sunlight . That is the main reason for the tender plant to die off .

In this video the pot has no drain hole. Drain hole is compulsory. So kindly mention it properly.

Was having the same issue, it helped cutting right 45degrees right under the nodes, with 4-5 leafs on top of the stem. This batch, I got roots from all stems.

@@creativityandfood189 Mint is very easy to grow. Mine in the ground is in the sun and does really well but it will grow anywhere so it will be fine in the shade too. I leave a few to flower and when finished for the year I just pull flowers off and spread them on ground, cut stems right down to two inches before the winter and every year it comes back bigger.

I use a small glass bottle covered with aluminum foil to block light. The cuttings end floats in the water and does not touch the container. I think it might be better than bottoming them in a plastic clear container (but have not compared). It does not hold more than 3 cuttings though...

This method is absolutely true!!! I did place the mints in a large glass water and i did change the water and noticed the bottom leaves were getting rotten and i pulled them off and place clean water right where the sun shines!!
And oh boy; miraculously, it was growing amazing long roots!!!
Just place it on rich soil!!
I live in a winter area and let mw tell you this; this miraculous plants comes year after year with fierce and it will miraculously grow and grow!!!
I did all of these before i saw this video!!
    So; this guy it's AWESOME!!!!
I just subscribed to you my man!!!
