      Também achei engraçado o narrador falar "ex-judoca" 😂, existem níveis nesse jogo, ser medalhista de prata nas Olimpíadas é algo que, ao meu ver, deveria ter sido destacado. Além disso, ele não deixou de ser "judoca", ele é judoca.

      No man, Travis would make him fly and probably fall on side control ( 5 points ) as effortless as Rodolfo swept him on the ground. He wanted to win this tournament. It would be cool to watch them doing a randori training

      BJJ competitions that allow pulling guard, stalling and not progressing on the feet are moronic and unrealistic, more when they allow to pull guard but not slams.

    was it a beginners mistake or was there some strategy behind it that i dont see?

    • @eamonob84
      @eamonob84 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I imagine he was thinking of stepping on Rodolfo’s leg to break off the spider hook. That’s usually done after you angle to the side, though, so their leg is more against the ground. Not sure why he did it in that particular position here. Rodolfo went right back to DLR from that spider hook as soon as he did.

      Guys add wrestling and your sense of balance will negate most judo guys throws.
      Then just dont wait all day on them. Aggressively attack the legs. They really arent used to wrestling style attacks. Even though they will often turn their backs in a last ditch attempt to toss you over their leg/hip.
      So watch that. As long as yoy leg ride and finish the wrestling follow ups theyre dead once they hit the ground.
      Turn their backs and turtle etc.
      Travis is a beast however. None of that applies to him lol

      @BadWolfMMANashville 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Nunya Business very good analysis here. Funny I just saw this video and saw your response. I completely agree with your take. Judo works because they are forced to stand straight up. Once you get in a good wrestling stance it negates their ability to enter for the throw.

    Excellent fight and my admiration for both because they are very good. But as always, the only defense that the BJJ have against Judo is to throw themselves on the guard because they cannot stand and cannot give a good throw to the opponent with control.

    • @W2LTA
      @W2LTA 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Why would he play Judo with an Olympic silver medalist? Jiu Jitsu has the guard and he used it to win the jiu jitsu match. All very understandable and straight forward.
      If you had of asked why did Travis try and stand on him then that may of been a relevant question. Wired move and he deserved to be swept from it IMO.

      @@W2LTAit shouldn’t be allowed to pull guard. Many judo throws allow the thrower to completely bypass the guard. If bjj penalised guard pulling it would change the sport hugely and look way more like judo, unfortunately bjj continues to allow this ridiculous tactic of guard pulling and butt sliding which is more unrealistic than any rule in judo
