Trust has got to be top 5 H-A for me and I cannot believe you said the end of it was missing some *bite* because I can easily find myself getting emotional with tears welling up and goosebumps on my skin when the outro drops and the iconic Biblical references start echoing over the vocals creating an overwhelming grandiose sound. This is one of the few songs I could almost recite word for word because HALF ALIVE's WRITING IS PEAK, and the flow of the lyrics in the first few verses is so groovy and characteristic to Now Not Yet's simple soft synthy piano vibes. I hope their new album (coming out in November) includes some more faith-based lyrics like TrusT's "thorn in my side," "wrestling has left me bruised," "seeking victory inside a death," "chasing wind outside the promised land" references. And I can only hope you change your mind on this BANGER.

Half alive puts me in tears. Their music is amazing and has helped me through so much. I saw them in April and I was sobbing through like the entire concert.
The Notion is their greatest song ever, no question. Seriously though it’s one of the coolest interludes I’ve ever heard and I never skip it listening to N,NY.

And to have the yippee-ki-yay be at the beginning of the drop is just so 👌Like it shouldn't work but it does. Also, I have a great respect for your grandma now. She has great taste. Crocheting Josh is an absolutely phenomenal feat that you should be incredibly proud of. Wish I could have witnessed it come together

i feel like theres a holy trinity of sorts with twenty one pilots, half alive, and saint motel. they have pretty much the same audience and they're all great. saint motel has been my top artist on spotify since 2020 (i consider voyeur to be the best alt rock album of all time, or at least one of them)
I actually haven't heard a bunch from Saint Motel. I've heard their most popular couple songs for sure, but not a whole album. I'll have to give Voyeur a try 👀

I honestly wasn't a fan of make of it that much though I did enjoy the lyrics quite a lot, but then I saw them play it live and the way that Josh portrays the emotion in his singing (+ the dancing along with it) made me enjoy it so much more. Theres something about seeing a song live that for some reason makes you appreciate it so much more
I literally couldn't watch this video because Make Of It is my favorite music video and one of my favorite songs. It has such a beautiful depiction of therapy that really resonated with me, has some really great lyrics, and the "3/10" just showed me that this youtuber and I are looking for different things. Opinions may vary, etc etc, so it goes sometimes.

Notion is such an intimate and heartfelt track that it's very easy for me to connect with it even though it's not a song. Plus, it flows nicely between Maybe and Still Feel. And thank you! I hope I'm able to make videos more consistently to earn that growth
I think arrow was at a good spot in the list bc I don't like it *that* much, but my producer side really wants to geek out about it. Those guitars that fight against the rhythm in the chorus, that really neat bassline, a cool drum pattern, and a great theme for the lyrics, really make it a work of art.
