I’m a 21-year-old girl, but i personally don’t find Guerlain Mon Guerlain to smell ‘old’ at all. It’s actually a very beautiful, uplifting floral perfume. But when it dries down, it turns into a beautiful, creamy, and powdery vanilla scent. However, i think i do get why some people would think of this one as an ‘old-smelling’ perfume, maybe it’s because the vanilla drydown isn’t that typical girly, sweet scent - to me, it gives off more of like a well-dressed and independent feminine woman feel. Anyways, i also think that the drydown really reminds me of ZARA Femme - to me, they’re very similar. Still, a beautiful perfume nonetheless.
I completely agree with you. I’m 31 years young and Mon Guerlain is my favorite perfume scent. It was a blind buy and the only regret I have is not buying the largest bottle. My husband is quite critical of fragrances, and when I received it I only sprayed it once on my neck. When he got home from work and came to hug me, he was absolutely smitten by the scent. Trust me that’s huge Lol. It’s a very unique scent, and I have yet to smell another even similar to I t. 🤍

I have amnosia to Mon Guerlin, regular and intense. It disappears after 45 min.
Waste of money for me.
The fragrance has different opening than the typical women parfume which is good.It is a sophisticated scent for sure and compliment magnet.For some reason men really do like this one.On different skin it can lasts different amount of time but overall not very much.But regardless beautiful scent and I do recommend it.
31 year old here. I just got Mon Gurlain Intense. I am a huge fan! It feels appropriate for my age. Still present on my skin after a long work day. Delicious and a bit unique. Been wanting a new signature after years of Burberry London
I’m Big fan of Angelina Jolie and I totally get why she is the face of Mon Guerlain. Angelina Jolie is a strong fierce sexy woman BUT beside that and even with all of her tattoos she is one of the most elegant classy woman of Hollywood. She has a graceful and classic appearance and I think she is just drop dead gorgeous! And that’s also what I think of Mon guerlain original, gorgeous classy sexy and mysterious. I do also have florale but much more preferred the original, and i have to say I hate the bloom of rose one, to me it smells cheap nothing like a real rose would smell (but then again I worked for years with roses so maybe I’m a little too harsh). I think the safest choice for a present would be the original I know nobody in my surrounding who preferred the other ones above the original. I hope they will get an intense version of the fragrance because the lasting power is not that great.

I love the EDP. I love the clean lavender opening, then the vanilla dry down is gorgeous.

I agree with you about the seem-ably juxtaposition between Mon Guerlain Fragrance and Angelina Jolie as the face for it./them. However there is some comparisons eg: she’s feminine, shes strong, as the perfume itself the Edp is rather strong, she is motherly, and seems loving. (Adopting those lovely children.)(-Lavender vanilla,and rose) Shes likeable as she seems like a warm homey person. Also she is beautiful, like the whole range of MG🌹Anyway thats my take!

I am in my 50s; I have worn Cashmere Mist since it came out in 1994, and Mon Guerlain EDP is the more subtle update that replaces CM as my signature scent. Perfect fragrance for me at my age and career point.

I own the EDP and Bloom of Rose EDP and they're both stunning. I'll be adding the Intense to my collection soon as well. Beautiful collection of fragrances. I cant seem to get enough of them! Theres much more than 4 flankers now though.
I hope you haven't bought EDP intense yet...because I have both EDp original and EDP intense and they both smell almost the same but I prefer the orginal one

lavender is supposed to relax so maybe it was aimed at the "mommy" image thanks for your review, I ADORE rose and am not huge on lavender except in my garden, but you have sorted it out so I can purchase the latest. I have to save my pennies. Namaste, zoe
I think Angeline does not match with the perfume for you as you still have her youth years in your head when you think of her. Now she is an elegant sophisticated caring woman who is in peace with herself still sensual and mysterious. For me, her adult personality matches perfectly with the perfume.
I have to say, Angelina for me is definitely not a representation of mon Guerlain. I would agree with you.For me she is fierce and this perfume is elegant. She is sharp and the perfume is soft. Incredible what a contrast.

First review i dont agree... To me, EDP dries down very sexy, and i totally understand Angelina, this is at first , very elegant and feminine, and than becomes very sexy, and this bloom of rose, to me, is very random, very similar with Versace bright crystal... But anyway, love your reviews... With love you to do your favorite fragrances for summer that gives you a beachy vibe 😍

i have the bloom of rose virsion but people have told me that its a little bit strong but i really dont think so and also it doesnt last on the skin you only get like a two hour wear out of two to three spreys
Totally didn’t smell lavender there, either liquorice...both I hate. But love Mon, straight after Armani Mania ( and Jasmin Noir Givenchy after Mon). I heard as well many times that Mon is just mine, suits me so well. Love the smell! Brought next 100ml again😁
"More then her fearlessness" they want to portray her sensuality. Just as you I used to find the original edp version super beautiful, delicate, girly like as well but then my husband changed my mind, he finds it beautiful, delicate and pretty but also very sensual "not sexy but more like intimate", he literally can't stop complementing me and staring at me with flirty eyes whenever I wear this perfume which makes me think that in fact she is the perfect face for the fragrance since this woman does emanates sensuality out of her pores 🤷♀️😅.
Although i adore my fragrances and although i have several great niche fragrances, i never could skip rebuying the OG EdP, it's just so nice never to much and i wear it really often and along with Pure Musc, i wear it the most from my designer fragrances, not always i wanna pull off my expensive niche ones and for that's it's so nice:) Also for bedtime wearing it's so gorgeous, and that it's one of my most complimented fragrances of my hole collection, is of course an extra point;) The only thing is the lasting power, but i always layer it with the body lotion (the actually smells like mon Guerlain), and if i wear it during the day on the way, i always take my decand with me and can refresh it at any time, at this price point that's not such a big of a thing...👌😋😘
I just bought the min guerlain bloom off roses EDP and I love it 🥰 and my son also likes the perfume and I also bought the zadig & Voltaire this is love 💕 also a great fragrance

I think it smells just like the cologned soap on a rope I bought for my dad every Christmas way back when. I can’t remember the name of the cologne though. It was the 70s.

The ultra elegance that many will try to reach but never will! And I don't smell an ounce of liquorice in it and I detest liquorice!!! Tou are selling it soooo wrong and soooo bad!!!
Mon Guerlain is meant to be your signature fragrance! A fragrance that is mostly just for you! To feel empowered yet feminine all at the same time! Sensual but strong! And it consists of Carla lavender, with is a different breed of lavander and what you are used to - what you expect is a granny scent - but this isn't, it's the freshest and most zesty almost of all lavanders!!
Then the vanilla, jasmine and sandalwood! Those are the main 4 components! It's also got tonks bean and iris in it as well as citrus notes at the top!
Do your review again and smell it properly! Your nose is so not right on this! A disappointing and incredibly irritating review!!

I’m so glad to see you’ve posted a video about this range! I was looking for a perfume that combines vanilla and lavender, and someone recommended Mon Guerlain to me. (Funny story: I wanted these notes because I smelled a lavender-Vanilla hand soap that smells exactly like my ex-boyfriend so I want a fragrance that smells exactly like it.) I like that you talked about the EDP vs EDT; I’m actually interested in both!
I’d say go for Edp :) it’s unusual to want to smell an ex, I usually try and avoid it haha
@@SokiLondon haha, I knew that would sound weird and unusual. we have had closure and are on friendly terms now. I just always loved the way he smelled but unfortunately don't want to be in a relationship with him anymore! :)
I also love Lavender / Vanilla perfumes. I really like this combo. I have Mon Guerlain EDP and the only problem for me is that only the vanilla remains on my skin and this is not the type of vanilla I really enjoy. Have you tried Lavande Trianon from Maison Lancôme ? I really love this one. So beautiful and definitely unisex ! 😌
PwetlaMarmotte wow, it’s amazing that this is the other one you recommend because, yes, I just heard of both Mon Guerlain and lavandes Trianon last night when I asked on a Reddit forum for recommendations of a lavender/vanilla perfume. These were the two recommendations someone gave me! I really want to try them both!!
You can also try Jersey from Chanel. There's a strong lavender in this one.
I also really enjoy The frenchy from Guerlain. More on the citrussy side with some lavender. Definitely more masculine but I like it.

I love the vanilla in Mon Guerlain EDP. I wait for the sharpness of the lavender to die down so the vanilla shines. I agree with many of the comments, this perfume is not what I would imagine for Angelina Jolie. If I were to take Mon Guerlain and have it reflect Angelina, I would make the bottle black + silver with a bold purple metallic orchid. Make it look dark and mysterious. As for the scent I’d replace the lavender with a deep Stella McCartney-esque moody rose, and some sultry ambery musk. Maybe a bit of pink pepper. Ooo they should make this! Haha

I've never tried Mon Guerlain and everyone raves about it! I do really like Libre and have bought a bottle, are they really similar or not?
I like them both and do notice similarity. It might be worth trying in-store when you have a chance.
Libre's dry down on me goes more to the unisex side, Mon guerlain is sweeter and more feminine. I love them both, though! I think it's worth the try

Soki London Thank you! The opening of Mon Guerlain EDP is painful for me. It reminds me of Hugo Boss cologne (1995). It’s the lavender! I don’t like it at all. I love the dry down of MG, but it’s not worth the hours of strong lavender.
I do own mon guerlain edt which I don’t like it was a blind buy 🙄 and the intence version which I do like and now I’ve order the bloom of rose another blind buy lol here you have me looking at reviews 🤭

Cindy, there is actually an perfume from Guerlain called Meteorites!
Unfortunately, the Meterorites fragrance has been discontinued and is hard to find. The closest to it that I’ve smelled is Guerlain Acqua Allegoria Rosa Pop.
I also love Mon Guerlain Bloom of Rose, another favorite, good review👌

Mon Guerlain Bloom of Rose sounds really nice. I wasn’t very fond of the original Mon Guerlain. Has anyone tried Mon Guerlain Sensuelle? If so, can you tell me your thoughts about the Sensuelle version?
I just received the Sensuelle flanker from fragrancenet.com. I don’t have the original one, so I can’t compare. The Sensuelle is creamy, calming, and slightly sexy. I really like it! I’ve even worn it to bed a couple times. I think it would be easy to wear to work or if you’re cuddling with your boo. I watched the review by The Scented on here. She does great reviews!
