i also got the table today and actually thought it would be a bit more comfortable. for example, the gaming chair doesn't really fit underneath it because i'm always banging my knees in front of the keyboard drawer ... or the side rest of the chair
Hey man, great video! Glad you talked about some of the scuffs and dings that a product like this inevitably comes with. I'd like to ask ya something tho, cause I'm interested in getting one of these myself. How sturdy/strong do the rack mounts feel? I have a pair of Neumann KH310 monitors, as well as a ton of outboard rack gear, and those things look a little flimsy to hold that much equipment. What's your take on this? Cheers!
They are sturdier than they look but I ended up putting a filing cabinet and a Yamaha sub on the bottom so that it helps to keep the desk upright since the racks can top the desk with excessive weight if there’s nothing to counter balance the weight.
I bought this, the only downside is how the drawer is so low. They should've made the screws in the drawer adjustable so that you can elevate it near the table top. Ergonomic wise if you want your chair to be in level with the table top, the issue is the drawer rubs at your thighs. I get that the drawer would fit thick keys but they should've added adjustable feature to the metal frame of the keyboard drawer.
I totally agree! Luckily, I am a shorter guy so it’s not a huge problem BUT I could totally see that being an issue for someone over 6ft. I feel like they did that for balance reasons. The rack spaces are pretty far back and could cause the desk to be unsteady if you load up a bunch of gear and add a couple monitors. I bought a small filing cabinet to but on the bottom so it helps that weight distribution issue.
@@SanacNick yeah I placed my PC at the bottom to address that weight distribution issue. I also oriented the cable management frame facing the front of the desk so i can somewhat flush it on the corner of my room facing the window. The window sill is low enough for the 2 rack tables to kinda protrude to. So im able to flush it against the wall. Apparently good review discussions in the internet, few here in youtube. You are one of the few to show this desk properly. Cheers man! Subscribed to your channel 👌🏻
Take the drawer off and rotate it 180 degrees. then screw it back in. that way you push it under the table when you don't need the keys and you just pull it out when needed. Still not perfect but works better for me... at least it gives more space for the legs..
@@666Psyk666 yeah would be a good solution but I wanted to install a proper cable management solution down there, that wouldn't be possible if I reversed the tray. Cable management included on this desk sucks. 🤣
For the price, you won’t get anything better. I still use this desk to this day and I’ve had no issues with it falling apart or breaking down. So I’d say go for it 👌🏼👌🏼
Shipping on thomann will be more expensive than Amazon but it for sure won’t be $500 total on thomann. This video was made about 2 years ago and the desk is still going strong! I use this desk for music and work around 10 hours a day on average every day so it’s definitely got my stamp of approval 👌🏼
I’ve also had to disassemble it, move it to my new place and set it up again and that was actually pretty easy to do and didn’t get damaged at all in the move. I only used moving blankets to protect it.
It’s not any special rack shelf, it’s just a regular computer/monitor desk tray that lifts it up a few inches. You can get them at Walmart or Amazon for cheap :)
You can’t adjust the height of the tray with the stuff that’s included in the box but I’m sure if you’re hardware savvy you’d be be find an alternative way to mount the tray at the height you need.
Still using it and it’s still going strong 💪🏼 I actually moved an hour away from where I filmed this video so I had to take it apart and put it back together and it survived that whole process.
This studio desk makes no sense.... I dont need two sturdy Speaker shelves with NO SPACE IN BETWEEN for my dual 32 inch 4k monitors. I need to stand the monitors on top of a rack space unit (or two of them side by side), maybe i less unit in height. And then add smaller shelves to the sides for my 8 inch Adam monitors. Desk manufacturers need to rethink their design... today Monitors are BIIIIIG , and maybe two of them
i like your normal presentation, no overacting.....love it
Thanks! That means a lot.

LOVE THE SET UP! Your next step should be building your own sound dampening pannels! That would be a challenge but also an awesome video!
Thank you!! I made some cheap ones a few years back! That would definitely be a cool project to revisit 🤔🤔
@@SanacNick I’ve seen some dudes one TH-cam build some cool ones, I’d check em out in case you’re interested!
@@HEYZUS98 I definitely will!
Thats a nice rug! Great vid
Thank you!! I got it at lowes!
Great video! I’m thinking about getting one myself, can you tell me if the keyboard rack would fit a full scale 88 key keyboard? Thanks!
I'd say 61keys would fit. 88 keys might not fit.
Cool desk. OMW TO BUY ONE!!!! TY!!
Do it, Fish 😤

Hey brotha. Great video. What’s the spacing between the racks?
(Back and at front).
Thanks in advance.
Thank you! In the front it’s about 63cm and in the back it’s about 75cm
Beautiful setup,
may I ask, if moxf 6 fits into the desk hidden tray
?
Thank you 👍

I saw this same desk in amazon for $500 idk if the demensions are the same. Idk what to pick this one or the other one lol

Where can you get that extra rack/shelf in the middle that you have your monitor sitting on?

can the keyboard tray be adjusted in height? if I want more space for my legs for example

180cm
How's the desk holding up after a year now?

Looks good. What's the width on it?
Is thomman I good place to buy equipment
Yup! I have personally never had any problems with buying items from Thomann. They refunded me $100 for the crack in the keyboard tray.
@@SanacNick Nice about the refund. I thought you we’re rather forgiving about that ;)
What screen size is your monitor
24” 👍🏼 its an older HP monitor
@@SanacNick would you say a 27 inch monitor would fit in the center?

This desk just isn't for you then. Doesn't mean it doesn't work for everyone else, especially at the affordable price point.
