Thanks for the vid bro! My bag just arrived. Perfect for scouting trips! Brought it on my spring turkey hunt held all my gear nice and secure while trekking through the dense woods here in the Pacific Northwest.
Good review nice bag. I love the waist belt. I've got several military shoulder bags with waist straps no banging or bumping thank you. Good bag for a brisk walk about. Thanks. atb
Good review. Quality seems to be right up there with the Maxpedition Jumbo Versipack if not higher and they are about the same price on Amazon. One thing I like better about the Vanquest is the lockable conceal and carry. Some of the compartments may block RFID. I know that their wallets do.
Will your GSI cup nest on the Klean Kanteen in the bottle sleeve on the bag? My Maxpediton Jumbo can't really fit the GSI while nesting on my water bottle. Thanks for the videos! Really appreciate your work!
If someone is gonna steel the bag from you they would grab the knife instead of the buckle. Not a fan of the two handed buckle. I like the orange on the inside. The paddle lock option on the CC pouch is a good idea. Nice review
I still can't see carrying a messenger type bag but I do like the sheath spot for a knife and folding saw. I also like the front/side zip pocket for firestarter and headlamp where you had it. Looks like all the pockets are in pretty perfect places. Nice bag, might pick one up.
It's definitely a style/preference. This type of bag won't replace a traditional two shoulder strap bag for me. BUT, this type of bag is great because there's only a small area of contact on the body. It feels very light and "freeing", if that makes sense. -Krik
the waist belt really does add something to the pack. i used a similar pack without a waist belt the last time i was in wyoming scrambling around a scree field and was constantly throw off balance because of the pack swinging around. with the waist belt some of the weight is redistributed as well as securing the pack to your side. - stony
Absolutely. What do you think an "EDC" bag is? It's a friggin purse. Ha. A bag you carry everyday with all the essentials. Women are way ahead of the game. -Krik

Happy New Year Krik and Stoney
Thanks, Sponge. Happy new year to you too. -Krik

Awesome bag. Good competition for both Maxpedition JUMBO K.I.S.S.™ VERSIPACK® and FATBOY G.T.G.™ VERSIPACK®
Thanks for sharing tortuga.
Looks awesome! I gotta grab one!
Great review. Really have enjoyed your channel. Glad to see you're now using an owl for your logo. Never got the penguin thing, lol.
I'd be curious to see your take on the Evac 4 Plan-B.
Gonna buy one
Good video, thanks.
I enjoy watching your channel ! That is a nice bag.
Very nice bag. Thanks for making me aware of this product. I like this better than Max Versa packs.
you can save room in your bag by placing your SS cup in the bottom of the bottle pouch.

yes it does nest, but it's extremely tight and can be quite a bugger to get out. - stony
Was the shoulder strap on bag shown in the video completely extended. I'm a little taller than you and I don't want it to ride too high.
Thanks,
-LB
Very nice bag but that's an awesome jacket. What brand is it? I'm guessing its wool?
Its' the Woolrich modern hunter. And yep, it's wool. -Krik
I have a 38 waist for pants. Will the waist strap fit me?
Thanks.
Nathan Griff I'm a size 40 and it fits me perfectly. There's a lot of slack for tightening.
Cool. Thanks for the help, David.
So how would you compare the quality and comfort of this bag to the Maxpedition made bag which is very similar in design?
If someone is gonna steel the bag from you they would grab the knife instead of the buckle. Not a fan of the two handed buckle. I like the orange on the inside. The paddle lock option on the CC pouch is a good idea. Nice review
Do you think this would be a good first aid bag?
Absolutely. Just depends on the size of kit you want to carry. -Krik
Great review. How is this compared to Maxpedition....price and quality? It looks to be very similar in quality. I love your coat btw.
I LOVE the coat your wearing.... please tell me where you got it. :) Thanks, :)
Sorry for the late reply. It's the Woolrich Modern Hunt Coat. Thanks for watching. -Krik

How big does the waist belt go?
Fairly large. Are you concerned with that? -Krik
BlackOwlOutdoors
Well, that wasn't rude >.>
Will it fit someone 5 ft
Sid Organ Maybe. But you may have to make modifications to the shoulder strap so it's not too long.
So like cut it?
Sweet it's like a military haversack with a waist belt I am sold!

Would you consider this a man purse? I really like the design but im worried people would make fun of me lol
Absolutely. What do you think an "EDC" bag is? It's a friggin purse. Ha. A bag you carry everyday with all the essentials. Women are way ahead of the game. -Krik
Great review, i'm not really a fan of sling style bags but this one looks pretty neat ~Peace~
