I normally don't like the mmpu music, it's often too happy or childish sounding for my tastes, but Timeman's theme is just so chill and atmospheric I fell in love with it, and this version captures that feeling perfectly.
Reminds me of MM8. So chill.

Ice Man = The obident kid
Fire Man = The justice kid
Oil Man = The kid that thinks blood is the answer to everything (I know, Its creepy because oil is blood in this universe)
Elec Man = The fancy kid
Time Man = The kid that roasts people and doesn't give a damn about anything
Guts Man = The hardworking kid
Roll: The kid that is the same thing as the good kid.

This is really good. It sounds like an actual song on the system.
This was my first Mega Man game. I didn’t like 8 bit graphics when I was younger, so I had only played MMX.
I got this because it was free after I bought two other games. I loved all the post game content.
I even unlocked Proto Man!
I also unlocked Proto Man! Yay!
And on a physical PSP!!!
This is making me wish we could play MMPU on a newer platform.
For what it's worth, I got it running perfectly on a hacked Playstation Classic.

The Mega Man soundtracks just translate perfectly to the Genesis soundfont, how did the Wily Wars fuck it up?
I have no clue but it's clearly the weakest part of a great compilation. The Genesis is capable of so much better too. Was the percussion EVER on time? Those watery fart trumpets were so disappointing!
Wily Wars has a great soundtrack. Sorry Renegade, but most remixes from there are better than yours, with massive improvements over the originals, like a new intro for MM2 Wily 1 and skipping a note in MM3 Wily 2. Heck, they almost managed to make Heat Man's theme into a good track, almost.

Like I said before this upload was deleted, I _cannot_ take the explosion effect seriously. If you thought Mighty Number 9's explosion of hot dog condiments was bad, I'll introduce you to Powered Up's pathetic cartoony puff of smoke that gradients from white to yellow to red, clumsily superimposed over the dead enemy.
At least it feels like it was intended to look like that and kinda fits with the game's cute cartoony aesthetic.

Great remix man, also the hyper bomb weapon looked kinda worthless lol, the aoe is pretty pathetic 🤣
if they could have made the gameplay slightly faster and the heads not massive on everyone while keeping the chibi jelly look, maybe i would have enjoyed this game more and not blitzed it in seconds with how slow and floaty is was.
otherwise the music was good and the game itself was decent, and Legend is always gonna blow us away with these remixes. 👍
