The sawtooth synth is a bit lacking. You could've used more chorus and I think you would've really knocked the ball out of the park if you changed the LFO speed on one of the operators and used amplitude modulation. Layering it with some psg may have helped

Not gonna lie, having played the old NES/SNES MM over the years this game looks hard! And it's being played very well in this vid.
