It is all a matter of perspective. Are you giving them credit for getting a head of this for the community? Or is this just a perceived good gesture in your view? I just think people should go both ways, but I know that is a big ask in this day and time. So yeah, perceived slights.
My new rules light PHB is 3 pages at 12 font Times new roman font. The Gamer Runner Guide is sitting about 11 pages. Not sure how much lighter I can get it. As for wizards expanding their already 3 text book long rules ... are they going to make it 5 books next?
uhhh... ONE D&D is not an update or revision per se, it's a old new edition. they're not tweaking existing rules, they already do that with errata there have been previous editions that got replaced when new editions come out, it just takes time for people to adapt to the new edition... out with the old, in with the new
The ONE D&D branding was dropped over a year ago and the Unearthed Arcana play testing would beg to differ, I guess I am not clear on what you are referring to.
