I have flown from Melb Australia to Sri Lanka 3 times last in 2018 and return flight to Melb Australia and while I enjoyed the experience in economy although seats can be uncomfortable for a 9.5 hour direct flight I have praise for the crew and cabin staff But with all the problems the airline and the country is facing it is understandable morale within the Air line may be a bit low .But I am sure that will improve with a brighter future for the airline crew and staff management
I'm a sri lankan working in one of the middle eastern country, I have been in and out of the country many many times, and flown in many different AIRLINES, sad to say that sri lankan ground handling Staffs and other staffs never respect US thinking we do LABOUR WORKS IN MIDDLE EASTERN COUNTRIES, AND ALSO WHEN WE CHECK IN AT THE COUNTER AND IF THERE IS ANY EXCESS BAGGAGE OF ONE KILO OR TWO KILOGRAMS OF WEIGHT THEY NEVER EVER ALLOW TO CARRY OUR THIS SMALL AMOUNT OF EXCESS BAGGAGE, SO MANY TIMES I HAVE TO LEAVE SOME OF MY PERSONAL EXPENSIVE CLOTHES LEFT ON THE COUNTER. THE GROUND HANDLING STAFFS AND OTHER MINOR STAFFS NEVER RESPECT AND ALSO THEY SHOULD THINK THAT WE THE SRI LANKAN EXPATRIATES BRING FOREIGN EXCHANGE TO THIS COUNTRY. TREAT ALL THE CUSTOMERS AS SAME. I DON'T WHY THE GROUND HANDLING STAFFS AND CABIN CREWS ARE SOOOOOOO PROUD, IN OTHER AIRLINES I DONT SEE ANY PROUDNESS BY THE STAFFS. Also these Old fuckers should be removed and replaced by new EDUCATED people to handle the ground handling job . They are like OLD AIRCRAFT NOW.
My mom and dad left from Sri Lanka last week by Sri Lankan Airlines. The flight was late for two hours and nobody informed to the other flight. No any officer could find in the Frankfurt airport and they had to stay there for 7 hours with out any flight. Its the worst service we experienced. So I had to spend more than thousand dollars to extra flights to bring them to my home. I will never use Sri Lankan hereinafter 😥😥😥
This is because of the economic crisis in Sri Lanka. I have flown Sri Lankan many many times before the 3con9m7c crisis I love to fly in Sri Lankan Airlines.
This looks exactly opposite of how they do it at the Airport😇 hard to find people who can provide proper answer to our queries, and Wheel chair service, you may have to wait for hours to take the person inside, compared to other Airlines Sri Lankan is good, but not as shown here....
There's lots of talented young people around that can present these kind of programs and yes they can handle both languages very well. But these old people never let them in because of theirs selfish reasons for their position. Feel very bad of these old people and how sri lanka's government media channels.
Worst experience ever with Srilankan Airlines ground staff .. I had to fly to India on May 10.. whole Srilanka was on Curfew and utter Chaos... Still I reached airport 3 hours early... Check in lines was very long... I was needed to fill online health declaration to check in .. The lady at check in counter was very rude.. she didn't help.. I told her this is my last flight to go out of the country as the nation is in deep trouble.. still she was very irresponsible...

Many fxxls are explaining things that are very basic in any customer service and operations that include checking documents, loading, and unloading luggage. But failed to show grabbing money from innocent passengers traveling to and from middle eastern countries. A lot of courier service companies are well organised than this. By the way, why these fxxls are explaining things in the Sinhala language. Are they targeting Sinhala passengers to get to know all these? Now people know why it is running at a super profit?

it is sad to see Sri lankans struggling to pronounce Sinhala words.. it is understandable we make mistakes in the English language...I must say my experience is well below than shown in the video. There is a lot to improve customer service and efficiencies. Staff dedication during a difficult time is appreciated but as an airline, Airport and country a rich customer/passenger experience is what matters & brings passengers back to the country. I wonder if the management has ever taken customer experience feedback to improve the services they provide? Arrival & Departure pickup & drop off is a chaos and very unorganised... One of my experiences is " I think these men are political appointments" he presses the button of the lift while I approach the airport lift then he came inside the lift and asked for money? I asked why he said he open the lift for me or pressed the button. I was extremely surprised & realised how low level the airport operates as it is full of rent seekers...This complain is not for all workers in the airport too.
