Back in the early 90's I was 16 and just graduated from music school ( that's the way we called it in Russia ) Western music was becoming freely accessible and thats when I got a hold of a tape of EWandF. I was in shock aftef first song played-this song. I couldn't believe that vocals such as these were possible, I didn't know who the singers were, I didn't know if they were white or black or Asian or aliens-i just fell in love with this band instantly. Then after coming to the States I bought everything these guys ever recorded. I have read about these musicians and got to know them, but the most important lesson that I learned was-true music that's created by true artist makes races and all differences disappear, and that's what let's your sole fly-the feeling of oneness. We are all one.

I started following EWF in High School in the early 1970's. Our Community would Charter a Bus to go see them in Concert on Long Island or in Manahattan. I have seen them LIVE more than any other group. Probably 10 or so times over the years. I have never been disappointed. Their Energy brings people together. The Reception they received in this Japan Concert is very telling. Their appeal is INTERNATIONAL. R.I.P. Brother Maurice. The World is quite a bit Darker without you...... Thank you EWF!

I had the privilege to see EWF live 4 times and even today, I have not been to a live show that comes anywhere near to the pure quality and musical ability of these guys. the slow groove at the start of this as Maurice works his magic on the crowd is as good as it ever gets !
