I've read online that they recorded a followup album to Treehouse back in 2019, and then their manager posted a pic of them back in 2021 in the studio with the caption saying something about having finished the album. Now all of a sudden in 2023 they've released two new songs after all this time. I think that Veil of Maya had a similar situation, they recorded an album back in 2019, and that was the one that was supposed to have Members Only on it, but they scrapped the album because of a certain individual not in the band who obviously did something to piss them off, but then they released 3 other songs that together sound like they could have been from an entirely different album, and then in 2023 released (M)other. They're both with Sumerian records so I think that Sumerian records had a part in why the band hasnt been active over the past few years. I think that this album that will follow these two new singles will be similar to Veil of Maya's album, sounding like a bunch of albums re-recorded and thrown together, but time will tell.
That has to be rough taking that long to finally release something if they had completed an album that long ago. I am totally fine with a mixed bag album. Hopefully we get a couple sweet tracks out of it since it has been so long in the making. I think Anomaly is a step in the right direction but the other track did nothing for me. Thanks for the info!
@@beardreacts2740 At first Anomaly was my favourite between the two, but then I read online that the song Drift is designed to kind of make you feel like you're drifting in and out of focus with it. I thought that it was a really corny take on it but I listened to it a few more times and it really does. I then went back and listened to their Treehouse album and I've really enjoyed it and I think that whatever they release, it'll be great and if people don't like it, that's ok, I know that I'll love it, same as you probably will too. I See Stars for a lot of people is just one of those bands that are comfortable to listen to even if the songs are lackluster, they're still good.
Hell yeah man, 7 years too long without music from them. I said the exact same thing about bring me the horizon. I can’t stop listening to it. Great chill, reaction, straight forward. Check out some other I See Stars!
I would never knock anyone for adding those BMTH elements. So cool. It was a super long wait. I never know what is going on with them. I would say it is a super solid song. I hope we get more like this. I think I might dust off some oldies for the kiddos to listen to. 😂Thanks for the view and comment. Great to hear from a fellow I See Stars fan.
Anomaly is pretty solid. Not really into the other song as much. New Demons is a banger of an album though but sadly, I'm pretty sure one of their bandmates is gone since that that album. They still have good music though.
Yeah, I never know what these guys are doing. They just pop in and out of my radar every several years. When they are on their stuff is incredible. I feel like that have had a lack of a clear direction this whole time though.

Did we listen to the same song, their new stuff isn't good
I guess we have different tastes. I did listen to the other song, Drift I think it is called and didn't like it.
@@beardreacts2740 I'm just more attuned to their New Demons album and stuff like that, I just thought that breakdown in this song was underwhelming
