I was 24 when this came out. This and the R6 were EVERYWHERE. Supersport culture was in its heyday and I wanted this bike more than sex. But alas, I was broke and riding a 1986 XR250R trying to fit in with dudes on these. Trying to stunt and wheelie to make up for my lack of being the latest/greatest/fastest. I finally got myself a 2004 GSXR 600for no other reason than I loved that Telefonica movistar colorway. Loved that bike. Then totaled it. Ended up totaling a lot more learning to ride them corners aggressively. Lost a lot of friends. Flash forward to today, I finally got my CBR600RR. 2018. And am in love. It’s a shame that any future 600 super sport I will want will have to be used.
